    Abstract: A bone implant drill includes a bearing received in a sleeve. A transmission shaft includes a rod extending through the bearing and a transmission member formed on an end of the rod and received in the sleeve. The other end of the rod extends beyond the sleeve. A cutting rod includes a cutter, a coupling member received in the sleeve, and a positioning member between the cutter and the coupling member. The cutter and the coupling member are provided on two ends of the cutting rod respectively. The coupling member includes second teeth releasably engageable with first teeth on a free end of the transmission member. An elastic element is mounted in the sleeve. The elastic element includes a first end mounted around the coupling member and abutting the positioning member. The elastic element further includes a second end mounted around the transmission member and abutting the bearing.

    Abstract: A bi-stable micro-electrical mechanical system (MEMS) heat harvester is provided. A bi-stable MEMS cantilever located between a hot temperature surface and a cold temperature surface, and is made up of a first MEMS material layer, having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. A second MEMS material layer is in contact with the first MEMS material layer, and has a second coefficient of thermal expansion less than the first coefficient of thermal expansion. A tensioner, made from a material having a tensile stress greater than the stress of the first or second MEMS materials, is connected to the cantilever. The heat harvester also includes a mechanical-to-electrical power converter, which may be a piezoelectric device or an electret device. The bi-stable MEMS cantilever may include a thermal expander having a coefficient of thermal expansion greater than the second coefficient of thermal expansion. The thermal expander is connected to the tensioner.

    Abstract: Structures and formation methods of a semiconductor device structure are provided. The method includes forming first and second fin structures over a semiconductor substrate. Each of the first and second fin structures has an upper portion and a lower portion. The method also includes forming a phosphosilicate glass (PSG) layer surrounding the upper and lower portions of the first fin structure. The method further includes doping the PSG layer to form a doped PSG layer. In addition, the method includes forming a borosilicate glass (BSG) layer surrounding the upper and lower portions of the second fin structure. The BSG layer extends over the doped PSG layer. The method also includes forming an isolation layer over the BSG layer. The method further includes partially etching the isolation layer, the BSG layer and the doped PSG layer to expose the upper portions of the first and second fin structures.

The first housing and the second housing are detachably assembled to each other to form a receiving space. An implant is received therein or removed therefrom. The second housing has a hole communicating with the receiving space. The sealed container is inserted into the mixing pot, and the mixing pot is assembled to the second housing, such that the sealed container is packed and squeezed inside the mixing pot and broken and the liquid flows out of the sealed container. The powder and the liquid are mixed and flow into the receiving space through the hole.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for detecting whether cells are infected with human papillomavirus (HPV), and the method includes: (a) capturing a contour of a cell of a cell image, wherein the contour has a contour pixel thereon; (b) identifying a tangent of the contour pixel on the contour to define in relation to the tangent a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, wherein the first side indicates the intracellular region of the cell and the second side indicates the extracellular region of the cell; (c) calculating an optical parameter average of the plurality of pixels on both of the first side and the second side; and (d) determining whether the cell is infected with HPV based on whether the optical parameter average on the first side is smaller than that on the second side.

    Abstract: A production method for producing an oxygen sensor, includes spinning a precursor consisting of a salt of at least one metal chosen from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Yb, Sr, Ba, Mn, Co, Mg, and Ga, a solvent, and a macromolecular polymer to produce nanofibers of the precursor containing the salt of the metal. The method further includes calcining the nanofibers of the precursor at a temperature ranging from 550° C. to 650° C. for 2 to 4 hours, and making a solid electrolyte material composed of the nanofibers obtained from the calcining. The resulting solid electrolyte material constitutes a part of the oxygen sensor.

    Abstract: A method is provided for forming a solid-state dye-sensitized solar cell (ssDSC) tandem module. The method fabricates a first panel by forming a first plurality of series-connected ssDSC cells overlying the first substrate top surface, with an electrical interface between each ssDSC cell. A second panel is fabricated in the same manner. An anisotropic conductive film (ACF) is formed overlying each electrical interface of the first panel ssDSC cells. Each ACF is aligned to a corresponding electrical interface of the second panel ssDSC cells, and the panels are bound. The result is a ssDSC tandem module comprising a first plurality of series-connected tandem sections, where each tandem section comprises a first panel ssDSC cell connected in parallel with an overlying second panel ssDSC cell. In one variation, the tandem sections include series-connected ssDSC cells.

    Abstract: A method is provided for forming a back contact perovskite solar cell. A substrate is coated with a positive electrode layer. The positive electrode layer is then conformally coated with a first insulator. A plurality of negative electrode segments are selectively deposited overlying the first insulator layer, and a second insulator layer is conformally deposited overlying the negative electrode segments and first insulator layer. The second insulator layer is selectively etched to expose the negative electrode segments, and an n-type semiconductor is selectively deposited overlying each exposed negative electrode segment to form n-type contacts. The first and second insulator layers are then selectively etched to expose positive electrode segments. A p-type semiconductor is selectively deposited over each exposed positive electrode segment to form p-type contacts. Finally, a hybrid organic/inorganic perovskite (e.g., CH3NH3Pbl3-XClX) layer is conformally deposited overlying the p-type and n-type contacts.

    Abstract: A system and method are presented for the large scale synthesis of metal cyanometallates (MCMs). First and second precursor solutions are added to a main reactor, where the first precursor includes M1 metal cations. The second precursor solution includes AX?M2(CN)Z?, where M1 and M2 are from a first group of metals and A is from a second group of metals including alkali or alkaline earth metals. In response to stirring the first and second precursors, MCM particles are formed with the formula AXM1NM2M(CN)Z.d[H2O]ZEO.e[H2O]BND, in solution. In response to aging in the secondary reactor, the size of the MCM particles is increases. The aged MCM particles in solution are then transferred to a separation tank, where the aged MCM particles are filtered from the solution and collected. The solution reclaimed from the separation tank back is added back into the main reactor.
