  • Publication number: 20240162623
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include an antenna radiating structure that includes an active transparent mesh portion as well as a non-transparent antenna radiator portion. By combining transparent metal mesh and non-transparent metallic film into the antenna radiating structure, the disclosed apparatus results in improved radiation efficiency. Moreover, when overlaid on a transparent lens (such as with a pair of augmented reality glasses), the antenna radiating structure leaves the optical transparency of the lens largely unaffected due to the placement of the non-transparent metallic film. Various other implementations are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220108702
Abstract: The invention provides a speaker recognition method, which comprises three stages of recognition. The first-stage recognition is to detect whether a text-dependent test statement is a spoofing attack of the replay. The second-stage recognition is to detect whether a text-independent test statement is a spoofing attack of the synthetic speech. The third-stage recognition is to judge which registered speaker speaks the text-independent test statement by a speaker recognition system. If it is not spoken by the registered speaker, it is directed to an imposter. The first two stages use different features with different binary classifiers, and the third stage uses a complex classifier to determine the text-independent is spoken by target or imposter through Ensemble Learning and Unanimity Rule with conditional retry mechanism. Therefore, the rate of blocking the target can be effectively reduced without losing the rate of blocking the impostor.

  • Patent number: 10313601
Abstract: An image capturing device includes a plurality of light emitters, an image capturer, a memory and a processor. The memory stores a target brightness value. The processor controls the light emitters to emit light and controls the image capturer to capture an image. The image is divided into a plurality of areas and the light emitted by each of the light emitters corresponds to one of the areas. The processor calculates a current brightness value of each area and calculates an absolute difference between the current brightness value of each area and the target brightness value. The processor determines whether each absolute difference is larger than a first threshold. According to a determination result, the processor adjusts an exposure parameter of the image capturer or adjusts a light emitting intensity of the light emitter corresponding to the area with the absolute difference larger than the first threshold.

  • Patent number: 8416869
Abstract: In a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system based on path finding, the method applied to the OFDM system uses an ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm and a PTS to reduce a PAPR value, and an area of a computing circuit. In a simulated result, the method can reduce the PAPR effectively, and can be executed by a lower level of complexity of the computation. To solve a large matrix of the PTS, an ant colony optimization algorithm is used for calculating phase rotation vectors of a better quality effectively to achieve the effects of improving the performance, overcoming the high level of complexity of the computing circuit, and reducing the large area of the computing circuit.

  • Patent number: 5899379
Abstract: At a road/rail crossing, rubber inserts are located alongside the rails, between the rail and the asphalt of the road. The insert has a resilient nose, which engages the under-face of the head of the rail. The insert does not touch the web of the rail, but rather the insert is wedged between the head and the flange of the rail. This engagement assists in locking the insert to the rail, by self-locking-taper action.
