    Abstract: A method and system for ensuring system security is disclosed. Based on the content of the data units the method and system monitor, the method and system retrieve the states and the dependency relationships among these states that are representative of unwanted patterns. The method and system store the states and the dependency relationships mentioned above in different types of memories according to the frequency of accessing the states. The frequency is calculated by comparing a number of test data patterns with the states in a sequence specified by the dependency relationships. The method and system further identify a set of suspected data units by comparing the data units with the retrieved states in a sequence specified by the retrieved dependency relationships, wherein the content of the set of the suspected data units collectively matches any of the unwanted patterns.

    Abstract: A clocked D-type Flip-Flop circuit has a transmission gate to admit an input data and to provide an intermediate output to a clock-controlled inverter based on the clock signals. The clock-controlled inverter is used as a latch for latching the output signal from the transmission gate and releases the latched signal by the same clock signals to an output inverter. The output of the output inverter is the Q terminal of the Flip-Flop circuit. Another output inverter is used to invert the signal from the Q terminal into a complementary output signal. In one of the embodiments of the present invention, another transmission gate is used to condition the complementary output signal.

Identification of the suspected data units is based on the merged results of the finite automata. Depending on the result of identifying the suspected data units, different actions are performed.

    Abstract: A control IC (integrated circuit) for color sequential liquid crystal displays (LCD) is revealed. The control IC includes an interface for receiving a command and at least one display data and a timing generator to generate a scan timing signal, a data timing signal, and a driving timing signal. According to the scan timing signal, a scan driving circuit generates a scan signal that is sent to the color sequential LCD. In accordance with the data timing signal, a data driving circuit receives the display data for generating a data signal sent to the color sequential LCD. According to the driving timing signal, a light-source driving circuit generates a plurality of driving signals sent to the color sequential LCD so as to generate a plurality of color backlights. In accordance with the scan signal, the data signal and the plurality of backlights, the color sequential LCD displays a frame.

    Abstract: Providing a fabrication method of a periodic domain inversion structure. A nonlinear optical ferroelectric material substrate is provided. A photoresist layer is formed on the upper and the lower surface of the substrate, and periodic gratings formed by interference of two laser beams are employed to expose the photoresist layer on the upper surface. Meanwhile, the two laser beams pass through the substrate, so the periodic gratings are used to expose the photoresist layer on the lower surface. A development process is performed to form a periodic photoresist pattern on the two surfaces of the substrate. A conductive layer is formed above the substrate for covering the photoresist pattern and the surface of the exposed substrate. The photoresist pattern and a portion of the conductive layer thereon are removed by lift-off. A voltage is applied to the substrate via the remaining conductive layer to polarize parts of the substrate.

    Abstract: A lamp apparatus include a lamp body, at least an alternating current light-emitting diode and a plug. The alternating current light-emitting diode is disposed on a lamp body. The plug is electrically connected to the alternating current light-emitting diode. In lamp apparatuses utilizing AC LED, heat generated thereby is almost concentrated on chips. Compared with conventional lamp apparatuses utilizing DC LEDs, heat generated thereby is distributed on chips and outer rectifier. In lamp apparatuses utilizing AC LEDs, heat generated thereby is almost concentrated on chips because AC LEDs operate directly with AC electric power, omitting a rectifier and preventing power loss during operation of power rectification. Therefore, the heat accumulated on the chips of the AC LEDs is enough to be used to evaporate essential oil. In another embodiment, the invention utilizes low-resistance pure water surrounding the AC LED to dissipate its heat.

    Abstract: An integrated tuner includes circuitry to receive a television signal, a quadrature mixer coupled to the output of the circuitry, a polyphase filter coupled to the output of the quadrature mixer, a relaxation oscillator, and a digital calibration module. The relaxation oscillator generates a clock having a period that is directly proportional to the on-chip RC time constant. The clock is fed into a counter of the digital calibration module. The counter is started and stopped at predefined time intervals by a finite state machine. The finite state machine updates the calibration code based on a successive approximation algorithm according to the end count results received from the counter. The digital calibration module outputs the updated calibration code to the polyphase filter and to the relaxation oscillator.
