    Abstract: A method for making a beam splitter with photocatalytic coating is disclosed. First, a TiO2—SiO2 sol, a SiO2 sol, and an anatase TiO2 preform sol are prepared. A glass substrate having two opposite surfaces is provided. The two opposite surfaces of the glass substrate is coated with the TiO2—SiO2 sol, the SiO2 sol, and the anatase TiO2 preform sol by dip-coating, thereby forming a coated glass substrate with a multi-layer optical coating on each of the two opposite surfaces. The multi-layer optical coating comprises a TiO2—SiO2 coating, a SiO2 coating, and an anatase TiO2 preform coating. The coated glass substrate is subjected to an anneal process. The coated glass substrate is cut, thereby forming the beam splitter with photocatalytic coating.

    Abstract: A device of deodorizing and minimizing VOC in exhaust gas with photocatalyst is equipped with UV lamp wrapped with photocatalyst coating fiberglass sleeve, disposed in an exhaust gas treatment chamber. At an inlet end, exhaust gas passes an activated carbon honeycomb plate which adsorbs VOC gas of the exhaust gas. The photocatalyst-based exhaust gas treatment chamber is installed in a manner to face the sun. Sunlight falls on the exhaust gas treatment chamber, thus causes the activated carbon honeycomb plate to release the otherwise adsorbed VOC gas. After that, undergoing photocatalyst-based exhaust-gas-borne VOC treatment system, the released VOC gas is oxidized and discharged without odorous.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a UV lamp for treating waste gas and for treating waste gases therewith is provided which is designed and fabricated based on solgel coating techniques. A sol of photo-catalytic materials comprising anatase TiO2 as the main component, and/or other semiconductive components such as WO3, AnO, SnO2, or Fe2O3, coated on a glass-fiber-cloth. Then, the cloth is impregnated with an oxidation catalyst of precious metal such as Pd, Au, Pr or Ag, or a transition metal oxide of Mo, Nb, V, Ce or Cr. The impregnated cloth is then wrapped on a UV lamp tube. The UV lamp treats waste gas by irradiating the UV light therefrom onto the surface of the photocatalytic materials to generate free electron and electron hole pairs which can decompose waste gases such as organic or inorganic pollutants in the air into unharmful gases.

The invention relates also to a process for treating waste gases by using said UV lamp for treating waste gas through irradiating UV light therefrom on the surface of such photocatalytic materials to generate free electron and electron hole pairs which can decompose waste gases such as organic or inorganic pollutants in the air into unharmful gases.
