The method further includes determining a central seismic gather and a set of neighboring seismic gathers in a vicinity of the central seismic gather from the set of seismic gathers, determining a set of dip-corrected neighboring seismic gathers based, at least in part, on the set of neighboring seismic gathers and a geological dip from the geological dip model, and determining a noise-attenuated central seismic gather by combining the dip-corrected neighboring seismic gathers and the central seismic gather. The method still further includes forming the image of the subterranean region of interest based, at least in part, on the noise-attenuated central seismic gather.

The method still further includes determining the artifact attenuated seismic image based on the unflattened seismic segment. The system includes a seismic source, a plurality of seismic receivers for detecting and recording an observed seismic dataset generated by the radiated seismic wave; and a seismic processor configured form the artifact attenuated seismic image.

The method includes, obtaining a multi-component VSP dataset, including a vertical and a horizontal component, transforming the vertical component into a vertical spectrum and the horizontal component into a horizontal spectrum, and designing a band-pass filter based, at least in part, on an energetic signal of the horizontal spectrum. The method further includes determining a muted vertical amplitude spectrum by applying the pass-band filter to an amplitude spectrum of the vertical spectrum, determining an estimated noise model based on the muted vertical amplitude spectrum and the vertical spectrum; and determining the shear-wave attenuated vertical component VSP dataset by adaptively subtracting the estimated noise model from the vertical component of the multi-component VSP dataset.

    Abstract: A gas cooktop includes a cooktop body having a burner head which when activated generates a fire for heating cookware placed on the burner head, and a control system which includes a fire detection apparatus installed over the burner head and is aligned with the burner head. The control system further includes a control apparatus receiving a signal of the fire detection apparatus to control the fire of the burner head. The control apparatus determines, depending on whether the fire detection apparatus detects the fire of the burner head, whether cookware is placed on the burner head. By using such a gas cooktop including the control system, the gas cooktop automatically adjusts the fire to a minimum after a user removes a cookware, thus reducing fume in a kitchen and reducing gas consumption.

The method further includes, for each of the plurality of common midpoint gathers, selecting a set of spatially adjacent common midpoint gathers using a spatial windowing operator and determining a weighted midpoint gather based on the common midpoint gather and the set of spatially adjacent common midpoint gathers. The method still further includes forming a denoised seismic dataset by combining the weighted midpoint gathers using an inverse spatial windowing operator and forming the denoised seismic image based on the denoised seismic dataset.
