    Abstract: A method can include receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) release message indicating the wireless device to transition to an RRC Inactive state. The method can also include receiving, from the base station, a second RRC message indicating support for multicast broadcast service (MBS) for the RRC Inactive state. The method can further include receiving, in the RRC inactive state, a paging message including parameters. The one or more parameters can include a first identifier, a second identifier indicating an MBS session, and a third indicator indicating whether the MBS session is allowed. The method can also include determining, based on the one or more parameters being present in the paging message, whether to initiate an RRC resume procedure. The method can further include sending, based on the determining, a radio resource control resume request message comprising the first identifier.
