Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a method for transmitting a signal, a terminal device, and a network device. The method includes: the terminal device determines a first time-frequency resource for carrying a first signal, where the first signal is used to indicate detection processing for a corresponding channel or signal, and the first time-frequency resource belongs to a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set capable of carrying a CSI-RS or belongs to a synchronization signal block (SSB) resource set capable of carrying a synchronization signal (SS)/a physical broadcast channel (PBCH); and the terminal device receives the first signal on the first time-frequency resource.
