  • Patent number: 12707729
Abstract: Continuous miniaturization of semiconductor devices is the key to boosting modern electronics development. However, such downscaling strategy has been rarely utilized in photoelectronics and photovoltaics. Here, in this work, a full-vdWs 1D p-Te/2D n-Bi2O2Se heterodiode with a rationally-designed nanoscale ultra-photosensitive channel is reported. Enabled by the dangling bond-free mixed-dimensional vdWs integration, the Te/Bi2O2Se type-II diodes show a high rectification ratio of 3.6×104. Operating with 100 mV reverse bias or in a self-power mode, the photodiodes demonstrated excellent photodetection performances, including high responsivities of 130 A W?1 (100 mV bias) and 768.8 mA W?1 (self-power mode), surpassing most of the reports of other heterostructures. More importantly, a superlinear photoelectric conversion phenomenon is uncovered in these nanoscale full-vdWs photodiodes, in which a model based on the in-gap trap-assisted recombination is proposed for this superlinearity.

  • Publication number: 20260151334
Abstract: A method of use, a system and a system kit of low dose ethyl alcohol to induce blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening for delivery of a non-BBB permeable substance to a brain of a subject includes the steps of: administering an ethyl alcohol and the non-BBB permeable substance to a brain and inducing a homogeneous distribution of the non-BBB permeable substance in the brain. The ethyl alcohol reaches the brain to induce a transient and reversible BBB opening for about 120 minutes so that the non-BBB permeable substance can penetrate the BBB to reach the brain. The non-BBB substance includes a therapeutic agent, a diagnostic agent, or a prophylactic agent. The use of low concentrations of ethyl alcohol allows the BBB to be restored to normal without causing significant harmful effects.

  • Publication number: 20250360343
Abstract: A transcranial ultrasound headset can hold one or more transducer probe assemblies. The headset can be adjusted to match various human head sizes to securely place the ultrasound probe assemblies on the target areas of a patient's head. In an embodiment, transducer probe assemblies can be placed over a patient's left and right temporal areas, and a third transducer can be placed over the patient's inion. Design techniques and construction materials ensure that transducer probe assemblies are held securely during a transcranial ultrasound session while enhancing patient comfort. An adjustable headband strap around the head is attached to a forehead assembly. The headband strap supports one or more rings. Rings hold ultrasound probe assemblies. The forehead assembly supports pre-built settings for quick size adjustment, allowing rings to be positioned over target areas. An adjustable top strap and chin strap provide additional stability and size customization.

  • Patent number: 12440453
Abstract: A method of inducing blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening of for delivery of a non-BBB permeable substance to a subject includes the steps of: administering an ethyl alcohol at 0.015%-5% v/v into a blood stream of the subject via intra-arterial injection, intracardiac injection, or intra-arterial injection guided by ultrasound, wherein said ethyl alcohol reaches a brain of the subject to induce opening of blood-brain barrier so that the non-BBB permeable substance is capable of penetrating the blood-brain barrier to reach the brain of the subject. The non-BBB substance includes a therapeutic agent, a diagnostic agent, or a prophylactic agent. The use of low concentration of ethyl alcohol can induce a temporary BBB opening within 240 minutes after administration so that the non-BBB substance can be deliver to the brain during the time frame of BBB opening. Since ethyl alcohol is water soluble, the non-BBB substance can also be administered concurrently.

  • Patent number: 12012922
Abstract: A wave energy absorption and conversion device and a power generation system includes a floating body, a guiding shaft, a damping plate and a counteracting mechanism placed in a movement range of the damping plate. The guiding shaft is connected to the bottom of the floating body and passes through the center of the damping plate. The damping plate may slide on the guiding shaft. A counterforce generated by the counteracting mechanism is opposite to a natural moving direction of the damping plate, so that the damping plate can be kept in a relatively static state under a synergistic effect of the counteracting mechanism, and thereby, colliding of damping plate with constraint structures above and below can be prevented when floating body is moving up and down following waves. The power generation system includes the wave energy absorption and conversion device and a power generation system.
