Patent number: 8281680Abstract: A power-augmenting gear structure for an electric car includes a low-speed and power-augmenting transmitting route additionally installed in a gear case, with an output shaft of an electric motor extending in the gear case. The gear case has transmission gears forming conventional normal speed transmitting routes with normal speed reducing ratio for running on common flat roads, and a low-speed and power-augmenting transmitting route to be used in case of moving up an upward slope or coping with a condition needing a large torque. Then the electric motor may be reduced in its size, weight and cost, without necessity of enlarging it to have a large power.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2009Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: Aeon Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hui-Hui Huang, Alex Lin, Jeff Wang, Weily Chen

Patent number: 8245810Abstract: The invention provides a buggy engine anchorage structure, which is characterized primarily by the fixing of the engine on a vehicle frame in a horizontal manner, where the output end of the engine is perpendicular to the rear wheel axle, and the output end of the engine and the rear wheel axle are perpendicular to each other to carry out a power linkage through a power output conversion structure by the output end of the engine, which enables the power at the output end of the engine to be transmitted through the power output conversion structure to the rear wheel axle. Accordingly, the engine fixed on the frame horizontally no longer squeezes the space of the vehicle operator and the passengers. Additionally, the engine and the frame can be then integrated into a single piece, which substantially avoids the vibrations due to the engine as the vehicle is moving.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2009Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignees: Aeon Motor Co., Ltd., Polaris Industries, Inc.Inventors: Huei-Huay Huang, Benson Huang, Weily Chen, Paul Alan Krahn

Publication number: 20060089218Abstract: A large torque diverting device for an engine transmission system includes a cylinder between a bowl-shaped disc and a drive shaft. The cylinder rotates the drive shaft, which then rotated the rear wheels. The cylinder has plural insert grooves and the bowl-shaped also has plural ball holes to correspond to one another for steel balls to fit therein. When the drive shaft and the rear wheels receive a too large load or shock, and if the cylinder and drive shaft becomes deadlocked immovable, with the bowl-shaped disc still rotating, the bowl-shaped disc pushes a push ring to compress an elastic member to force instantly the steel balls separate from the cylinder to instantly release the large torque so as to protect the transmission gears and the shell from damaged, cracked or broken.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2004Publication date: April 27, 2006Applicant: Aeon Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Huei-Huay Huang, Weily Chen
