    Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for performing optical positioning. The apparatus comprises a laser transmitter configured to transmit a laser beam toward a retroreflector, where the location of retroreflector is known and the retroreflector reflects the laser beam and imparts modulation onto the laser beam. An optical receiver receives the reflected laser beam reflected from the retroreflector and a processor extracts a code from the modulation, determines the location of the retroreflector and calculates the distance from the apparatus to the retroreflector and uses the code and distance to determine a position of the apparatus.

    Abstract: This application provides a neural architecture search method, applied to a search system. The search system includes a generator and a searcher. The method includes: The generator generates a plurality of neural network architectures based on a search space; the searcher obtains evaluation indicator values of a plurality of child models obtained based on the plurality of neural network architectures on first hardware; and the searcher determines, based on the neural network architectures corresponding to the plurality of child models and the evaluation indicator values of the plurality of child models on the first hardware, a first target neural network architecture that meets a preset condition. In this way, different initial child model training processes are decoupled, and a neural architecture search process is decoupled from an initial child model training process, so that search duration is reduced and search efficiency is improved.

The device then executes the search operators in the arranged operation sequence on the original AI model to obtain an optimized AI model. In the execution of the operation sequence, each search operator, except for the first search operator in the operation sequence, is executed utilizing operation results of a preceding search operator in the operation sequence, the operation results including generated network structures and search space information.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of imaging a sample using a charged-particle beam apparatus are disclosed. The charged-particle beam apparatus may include a compound objective lens comprising a magnetic lens and an electrostatic lens, the magnetic lens comprising a cavity, and an electron detector located immediately upstream from a polepiece of the magnetic lens and inside the cavity of the magnetic lens. In some embodiments, deflectors may be located between the electron detector and the opening of the polepiece adjacent to the sample to achieve a large field of view. Electron distributions among the detectors can be manipulated without changing the landing energy by changing the potential of the control electrode(s) in the electrostatic objective lens. The electron source can be operated with several discrete potentials to cover different landing energies, while the potential difference between electron source and the extractor is fixed.

    Abstract: An architecture for an optoelectronic oscillator uses Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) to seed, filter and amplify the oscillation signal in an overlapped oscillator loop for both a RF modulated optical sideband and a SBS signal. By phase matching the RF modulated optical sideband generated by SBS with the SBS signal, the feedback will collapse the bandwidth of the SBS signal and in turn the bandwidth of the Brillouin frequency signal, which also serves as a filter to filter out multiple undesired OEO loop modes. The embodiments herein result in reduced phase noise and increased stability.
