  • Publication number: 20140279306
Abstract: Provided is a system for detecting a merchant point of compromise. More specifically, provided is a system for detecting a merchant point of compromise comprising a computer system in electronic communication with a transaction processing network containing transaction information, the computer system comprising a point-of-compromise detector, said point-of-compromise detector performing the steps of electronically receiving from the transaction processing network the transaction information; generating at least one of an undirected network or a directed network based on the transaction information; extracting features from the at least one of the undirected network or the directed network; and identifying one or more point-of-compromise merchants based on the extracted features.

  • Publication number: 20140279752
Abstract: A system and method for generating ultimate reason codes for computer models is provided. The system for generating ultimate reason codes for computer models comprising a computer system for receiving a data set, and an ultimate reason code generation engine stored on the computer system which, when executed by the computer system, causes the computer system to train a base model with a plurality of reason codes, wherein each reason code includes one or more variables, each of which belongs to only one reason code, train a subsequent model using a subset of the plurality of reason codes, determine whether a high score exists in the base model, determine a scored difference if a high score exists in the base model, and designate a reason code having a largest drop of score as an ultimate reason code.

  • Publication number: 20140279815
Abstract: A system and method for generating greedy reason codes for computer models is provided. The system for generating greedy reason codes for computer models, comprising a computer system for receiving and processing a computer model of a set of data, said computer model having at least one record scored by the model, and a greedy reason code generation engine stored on the computer system which, when executed by the computer system, causes the computer system to identify reason code variables that explain why a record of the model is scored high by the model, and build an approximate model to simulate a likelihood of a high score being generated by at least one of the reason code variables identified by the engine.

  • Patent number: 8228657
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to apparatus, methods, and applications involving the actuation of a semi-insulative working fluid by electromechanical forces based on electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) and liquid dielectrophoresis (liquid DEP) mechanisms that are controlled by the frequency, but not the magnitude, of an AC voltage (i.e., ‘frequency-addressable). In the various apparatus embodiments of the invention, a single, frequency-addressable electrode pair includes at least one electrode that has a spatially-varying dielectric coating thickness and thus a spatially-varying electrode gap wherein at least a portion of which a volume of a working fluid can stably reside under no influence of an applied voltage. In an exemplary aspect, a frequency-addressable, bistable apparatus includes at least one wider gap and one narrower gap associated, respectively, with a thicker and a thinner dielectric coating thickness of the electrode(s).

  • Publication number: 20110292936
Abstract: A method and a system for transmitting multichannel data packets are disclosed in the present invention to implement the transmission of the multichannel data packets with the same network socket, and to improve the work efficiency of the multichannel data packet transmission. The method for transmitting multichannel data packets provided in the present invention comprises: creating a network socket which includes a routing cache array for caching the routing information of the multichannel data packets; acquiring the routing information of the multichannel data packets and adding the routing information to the routing cache array; acquiring the routing information of the multichannel data packets from the routing cache array when the multichannel data packets need to be transmitted and sending out the multichannel data packets according to the routing information.

  • Publication number: 20110258337
Abstract: A method and system for implementing zero copy transmission of streaming media data are disclosed in the present invention, and the method and system are based on Linux network protocol stack. The method comprises: when a streaming media server receives a data request from a user equipment, it performs a system call of data transmission, reading the streaming media data out from the disk space and writing it into a user data buffer; packaging the streaming media data stored in the user data buffer as real-time transmission protocol packets which are transmitted applying streaming media packets whose head and load are separated. The method and system of the present invention sufficiently use the DMA function and SG (Scatter/Gather) function of a network card to implement zero-copy transmission of the streaming media data.
