Publication number: 20250039087Abstract: A distributed data storage system includes clusters of data storage appliances interconnected by an inter-cluster (IC) network having an IC namespace. Storage processing (SP) nodes exchange management traffic using mesh network (MN) addresses of a separate MN namespace. Gateways provide IC tunnels for routing management traffic among the clusters using IC network addresses. Operation includes, in each gateway for traffic from a local SP node destined for a remote SP node of another cluster, (1) performing a routing check based on a routing rule associating an MN destination address with a dummy MN address further associated with a respective IC tunnel, (2) applying a tunnel configuration rule of the IC tunnel associating the MN destination address with the IC network address of a remote gateway for the remote SP, and (3) forwarding the traffic on the respective IC tunnel using the IC network address of the remote gateway.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2023Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Gregory W. Publication number: 20230391954Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for preparing multi-component polymers through post-polymerization modification, used to functionalize polysulfonyl imidate polymer including a dispersing polymer reactant, an electrophilic substitution reagent and a catalyst in an organic dispersant; adding acid-binding agent to react at room temperature for 4-48 h; obtaining the precipitate when the reaction finished; washing and drying the obtained precipitate to get the functionalized multi-component polymers. The present disclosure involves a low polymerization temperature, allowing for the reaction to occur at room temperature. Additionally, the conversion rate is high, and the applicable electrophilic substitution monomer reagents have a wide selection. Besides that, the synthesis cost of the reaction is low due to the widespread availability of common chemical reagents such as catalysts, organic dispersants, acid binding agents, and other reaction reagents.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2021Publication date: December 7, 2023Inventors: Xinxiang CHEN, Nan ZHENG, Jianyu SUN, Junnan HE, Rui ZHANG, Wangze SONG, Junqiao YAN, Weixing WANG, Feng HOU

Patent number: 10403017Abstract: A request is received for an image to be presented on a client computing device, where the image is synthesized by shared images and dedicated images dedicated to the client computing device. A first one or more source files are identified for generating the shared images that are used by the client computing device and one or more other client computing devices. The shared images are generated based on the first one or more source files. A second one or more source files are identified for generating the dedicated images. A configuration file is generated that includes instructions for the client computing device to synthesize the shared images and the second one or more source files to the requested image. The shared images, the second one or more source files, and the configuration file are sent to the client computing device.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2017Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: Alibaba Group Holding LimitedInventors: Zhijun Du, Sanping Li, Nan Wang, Qiang He, Yanjun Zhao, Zhenqiang Lao, Jie Shi, Weixing Wang

Patent number: 9990190Abstract: An installation image of a virtual storage appliance (VSA) is protected by initiating VSA installation from an archive image establishing a pre-installation operating state. The archive image includes an installation image with a lockbox storing a first key for accessing the installation image. The lockbox is encrypted using a second key derived from a stable system value (SSV), such as data for device partitioning, obtainable from an execution environment in the pre-installation operating state. During installation, the SSV is obtained and used in decrypting the lockbox to retrieve the first key and use the installation image to install the VSA. The VSA is installed in a manner establishing a post-installation operating in which the SSV is no longer obtainable from the execution environment, e.g., due to changing the device partition information. An SSV obtained from the partition information post-installation does not yield the key for decrypting the lockbox, protecting the installed image.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2016Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Michael L. Silica nanoaggregates and organosilicon complexes and methods of forming them from biomass materials
Patent number: 9359214Abstract: By controlling the pre-treatment of biomass materials and pyrolysis conditions, silica samples with various surface areas and levels of crystallinity were synthesized. With proper treatment, biogenic silica nanoaggregate (25-30 nm in diameter) can be synthesized from biomass materials. The characterizations revealed that the silica nanoaggregates were composed of smaller primary silica nanoparticles (ca. 4.2 nm in diameter). Under controlled melting catalyzed by metal salt cations, the silica nanoaggregates may be fuse to form semi-crystalline porous silica frameworks with tunable pore size and structural integrity. Organosilicon complexes were synthesized from the bio derived silica nanoaggregates.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2012Date of Patent: June 7, 2016Assignee: Texas State University-San MarcosInventors: Luyi Sun, Weixing Wang -
