    Abstract: Particular embodiments may receive signals periodically detected by a mobile device and transmitted by multiple fixed-location signal sources within an environment, wherein the mobile computing device includes at least a camera. A spatial distribution of signal strengths is determined based on the detected signals, and relative positions of the mobile computing device are identified using the detected spatial distribution of signal strengths. The system may receive and analyze the images of the environment captured by the camera and calibrate the relative positions using the image analysis results. A map of spatial distribution of signal strengths is created by correlating the spatial distribution of signal strengths with the calibrated relative positions.
