Abstract: A means and apparatus for fluid containment providing for closed loop operation of an apparatus within a column of liquid. The apparatus extracts power from a buoyant source within the contained column of liquid and is comprised of an endless chain of movable buoyant objects, a means to convert the movement of the chain into useful work and a tank filled with a constant volume column of liquid. The buoyant objects comprising the chain sequentially enter the bottom of the liquid column through an airlock seal of the current invention, move up through the column and emerge at the surface. The emerging buoyant objects leave the tank and are directed to the tank bottom where each buoyant object repeats the cycle. As the chain of buoyant objects cycles through the displaced column of liquid, the volume of liquid remains constant, with one buoyant object of the chain entering the bottom of the liquid column as one is exiting at the top surface.

Abstract: A shipping, storage and racking method and apparatus for packages designed to be hung on pegs on display racks includes a storage/transfer member dimensioned to pass through the openings by which the packages are hung. An opening is provided along the longitudinal axis of the storage/transfer member to permit the member to be slid over a display rack peg so that packages on the peg can be supported by the member and removed as a single unit by holding them on the member as it is slid off the peg. A reverse procedure is used to deposit packages carried on a storage/transfer member onto a peg. Packages are stored and transported by supporting a storage/transfer member loaded with packages within a container by special means which position and secure the member so that the packages are hung within the container without resting on the container bottom.

Abstract: A removable and replaceable weed guard may be added to a fish hook to prevent the hook from becoming entangled with weeds. The weed guard may be made of wire or other spring material and a set of weed guards may be used to calibrate a hook so that the depth and speed of motion of a lure to which the hook is attached may be controlled. The weed guard of the invention is a bait saver, since it prevents live bait from accidentally falling off the hook.A connecting loop for securing to a lure and a figure-eight connector for attaching a fish hook to a lure are also described. A hand tool is useful for attaching the connector.
