  • Publication number: 20070273199
Abstract: The invention relates to a parking brake device for an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The parking brake device is a mechanical one set on a brake disc of a rear wheel shaft, connected with a grip by a connecting line for being operated independently without any connection with a hydraulic braking device used during traveling. As long as the grip is manually turned around to a preset position, the ATV can be parked immovably. As the parking brake device is independent from that used during traveling, the two different braking systems can be respectively operated without interfering each other. In addition, the parking brake device can be used as an auxiliary brake during traveling.

  • Patent number: 7005163
Abstract: The present invention relates to an organic-inorganic hybrid film material consisting of polyamide and either polysilsesquioxane or silicon alkoxide and to a process for producing the organic-inorganic hybrid film material. The present process can effectively reduce the phase separation and can produce an organic-inorganic hybrid film material having 0–100% organic content. The present process can control desired properties of the resultant hybrid film material by adjusting the ratio of the organic and inorganic material, such as refractive index, birefractive index, dielectric index, and plateness of the film. Also, the present organic-inorganic hybrid film material possesses excellent heat-resistivity and is suitable for an IC process requiring high processing temperature.

  • Publication number: 20050048200
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing an optical waveguide component from acrylate/titanium alkoxide composite material, which is characterized by using an acid-free sol-gel process to prepare a precursor solution of acrylate/titanium alkoxide composite film, then coating the precursor solution on a silicon wafer then drying, and producing the optical waveguide component having channels by using a lithography process. The present invention also relates to an optical waveguide component of acrylate/titanium alkoxide composite material, the material has excellent transparency and its refractive index varies with the amount of titanium alkoxide contained therein. When an optical waveguide component is prepared from the composite the reduction of near-infrared ray is less than 0.7 dB/cm and therefore the waveguide component is advantageous for use as an optical communication element.
