    Abstract: A resolution-adjustable touch panel and a manufacturing method thereof. The resolution-adjustable touch panel includes a substrate, a plurality of first, second, third and fourth sensor strings, and a flexible printed circuit. The flexible printed circuit board includes a plurality of first, second, third and fourth pins. The first and third pins are respectively and electrically connected to the first and third sensor strings, and the second and fourth pins are respectively and electrically connected to the second and fourth sensor strings by dummy pins. From this, a different-resolution touch panel can be made from the substrate with the same sensor string. Thus, the cost for masks can be reduced.

    Abstract: A system and method for forming and using a liner is provided. An embodiment comprises forming an opening in an inter-layer dielectric over a substrate and forming the liner along the sidewalls of the opening. A portion of the liner is removed from a bottom of the opening, and a cleaning process may be performed through the liner. By using the liner, damage to the sidewalls of the opening from the cleaning process may be reduced or eliminated. Additionally, the liner may be used to help implantation of ions within the substrate.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for debugging the power aspect of an IC design by integrating the power specification expressed in certain power specification format and its corresponding circuit design within a power schematic diagram called power map. Power map is created by using a power data base generated by regrouping the original circuit design hierarchy to new hierarchies defined by the power specification. Power map contains power cell symbols (such as isolation cells, level shifters, power switches) and signal nets, and can show the relationship between power domains. Power map can also display mismatches or errors between the power specification and the circuit design for those signals connecting the power domains. Furthermore, power map can be used in conjunction with simulation result.
