Abstract: A computer platform system program remote upgrading control method and system is proposed, which is designed for use with a network system for providing a local computer platform with a remote upgrading control capability, and which is characterized by the utilization of a specific network communication protocol, such as TCP/IP or UDP/IP, for a remote network workstation to send a copy of new-version BIOS program and a set of associated upgrading control commands in compliant with a specific interface protocol that is utilized on the server, such as IPMI-compliant commands, for the IPMI-equipped server to execute these IPMI-compliant upgrading control commands to perform an upgrading procedure on the BIOS module via an SMI handler.

Abstract: A computer platform redundant system program remote switching control method and system is proposed, which is designed for use with a network system for providing a network-linked computer platform, such as a server, with a redundant system program remote switching control function, and which is characterized by the utilization of a specific network communication protocol for a remote network workstation to send a set of switching control commands in compliant with a specific interface protocol that is utilized on the server for the local server to execute these switching control commands to switch from the main BIOS module to the redundant BIOS module in the event of a failure to the main BIOS module.

Abstract: A computer platform system program remote recovery control method and system is proposed, which is designed for use with a network system for providing a network-linked computer platform, such as a server, with a remote recovery control function, which is characterized by the utilization of a specific network communication protocol for a remote network workstation to send a copy of system image and a set of associated recovery control commands in compliant with a specific interface protocol that is utilized on the server for the server to execute these recovery control commands to reload the remotely-downloaded system image in a failed system program in the local server. This feature allows network management work to be more efficient and responsive than prior art.

Abstract: An interrupt control system is applied in an electronic device having an interrupt service system, for controlling the interrupt service system to execute corresponding interrupt handlers. The interrupt control system includes a setting unit having a setting interface for setting a variety of specified interrupt control instructions; a storage unit having a first data storage area and a second data storage area, with an interrupt control program being stored in the first data storage area; and a central processing unit electrically connected to the setting unit and the storage unit, for storing the specified interrupt control instructions set by the setting unit to the second data storage area and executing the interrupt control program stored in the first data storage area, so as to control the interrupt service system to execute the corresponding interrupt handlers in accordance with the specified interrupt control instructions.
