  • Publication number: 20090295720
Abstract: A method for executing a mouse function of electronic device and an electronic device thereof are provided. In the present method, an amount and a relative position of input signals are detected by a sensor module. Then, whether the amount and the relative position are respectively conformed to a predetermined value is determined. If the predetermined values are conformed, whether the input signal is conformed to a specific signal is determined when a variation of the relative position is occurred. Finally, a corresponding mouse function is executed according to a type of the variation if the variation is conformed to the specific signal. As a result, a mouse device is no longer needed for a user to accomplish a directional operation on the electronic device so as to prevent inconvenience of particularly carrying a mouse device.

  • Publication number: 20090175006
Abstract: A honeycomb heat dissipating apparatus made of a composite metal material includes honeycomb cells that are integrally formed by vacuum die casting, and continuous convex and concave distal surfaces disposed around the periphery of the heat dissipating apparatus, and an adjacent surface of each cell is a thin surface, and the heat dissipating apparatus can be in a standalone mode, or combined with other heat dissipating apparatuses. One or more honeycomb heat dissipating apparatuses can be installed on a circuit board or an electronic component of a lamp or an electric appliance, such that the heat dissipating apparatus can dissipate heat quickly by the honeycomb cells without occupying much space. The invention can increase the heat dissipating area for a faster heat dissipating effect and change the stylish appearance to achieve the aesthetic effect.

  • Publication number: 20090168435
Abstract: An electronic device that facilitate locating connection port thereof is described. The main portion has a lateral surface. The connection port is disposed on the lateral surface. The identification symbol is disposed on the lateral surface. The light source is disposed within the main portion and operable to emit light through the identification symbol so as to project a pattern of the identification symbol on a surface, which supports the main portion. The connection port on a lateral surface of the electronic device is located according to where the pattern of the identification symbol is located.

  • Publication number: 20090167691
Abstract: A foldable electronic device includes a main portion, a display portion, a gear set, a saw teeth member and a connection member. The main portion has a top surface. A keyboard is pivotally connected with the top surface of the main portion. The display portion is pivotally connected with the main portion by a rotation shaft such that the display portion is operable to be folded against or unfolded away the top surface. The rotation shaft drives the gear set. The saw teeth member engages with the gear set. The connection member has an end pivotally connected with a bottom surface of the keyboard and an opposite end pivotally connected with the saw teeth member. When the display portion swivels relative to the main portion, the rotation shaft drives the gear set, the saw teeth member and the connection member to move simultaneously so as to swivel the keyboard relative to the top surface.

  • Publication number: 20070084014
Abstract: A hinge structure for joining a first body, a second body and a third body includes a first hinge structure and a second hinge structure. The first hinge structure includes a pivot base joining the first body and a rotating part joining the third body. The rotating part pivots on the pivot base, so that the third body is able to swing open or close around a first rotating axis relative to the first body. The second hinge structure includes a sleeve disposed in the second body and a shaft disposed inside the sleeve. The shaft is able to rotate around a second rotating axis relative to the sleeve and joins the pivot base. As the shaft rotates, through the pivot base and the rotating part both joining the shaft, the third body and the first body are able to swing open or close relative to the second body.

  • Publication number: 20060187623
Abstract: A retractable keyboard is described. The retractable keyboard is suitable for a handheld electrical device, and especially to a mobile phone with a personal digital assistant function. The retractable keyboard has a plurality of keyboard blocks coupling to an accommodating base of the handheld electrical device. Each of the keyboard blocks has parts of a complete keyboard. The expanded keyboard blocks form a whole keyboard having the same function and similar appearance dimensions of the complete keyboard, allowing convenient information key-in and control of the handheld electrical device. Only parts of the retractable keyboard are exposed for performing basic functions of the handheld electrical device when the retractable keyboard is retracted into the accommodating base.
