  • Publication number: 20210135347
Abstract: A communication antenna and radiation unit thereof with tapered clearance slots for transceiving radiation signals disposed at four corners of the radiation unit. The slots form groups and are arranged and fed by two feeding units. A middle portion of the radiation unit is a flat central platform. Peripheries of the radiation unit are turned up to form folded edges. The communication antenna includes a reflecting plate and a radiation unit operating at a low frequency. The central platform has a high-frequency radiation element. The radiation unit has a small aperture and is lightweight, so the antenna size is reduced, and a radiation performance indicator can be ensured. The radiation unit is applied to a multi-frequency antenna, has little effect on a high-frequency oscillator, and is especially suitable for a multi-frequency base station antenna with a low-frequency unit and a high-frequency unit forming an array in a nested manner.

  • Patent number: 10186288
Abstract: A method of forming a TAMR (thermally assisted magnetic recording) write head that uses weakly plasmonic materials that are mechanically strong and thermally stable to create plasmon near field energy. The replacement of highly plasmonic materials like Au with a weakly plasmonic material like Rh avoids the thermal deformations of softer metals like Au. To maintain the performance of the head, it includes pre-focusing structures that concentrate plasmon energy as it moves towards the air bearing surface (ABS). A waveguide blocker at the distal end of the waveguide enhances the plasmons at the interface between the blocker and the dielectric material at the distal end of the waveguide. A pair of symmetrically disposed optical side shields (OSS) are formed to either side of the pole tip and a weakly plasmonic optical field enhancer of sharply defined line-width further strengthens the optical field at its point of application.

  • Publication number: 20190002052
Abstract: A light projection system for bicycles that comprises a front light and a rear light that act in tandem to emit light on the sides and beneath the cycle to visually indicate the ‘safety space’ of the cyclist; and to use such lights to indicate cyclists' intention to other commuters. Individually, both the front and rear light can project light as wide as 330°, with sharply defined patterns and objects. The front and rear lights act in concert that allows the projection of light on a surface that is demonstrably more visible, brighter, better defined, which allows the user of such lights signal intentions to other commuters. Moreover, the lights are synchronized so the shape and outline of the projected light field is malleable, thus different shapes can be projected with no loss of luminous flux and/or sharpness.

  • Patent number: 9826760
Abstract: This invention describes a collagen fiber reconstituted rawhide useful in the production of pet chews, and a method for making the same. Beginning materials include animal skins with hair, depilated limed splits and leftovers from the manufacture of rawhide pet chews. The materials are pretreated, ground, subjected to acid treatment to swell and separate the collagen fibers that comprise the animal hide, further ground into pulp, vacuum filtered, mixed with a dehydration agent that chemically shrinks the expanded fibers, drained, formed and dried into sheet and/or exposed to a cross-linking agent to increase the adhesive strength of the end product. Edible materials, including meats, may be added to the solution prior to draining, to enhance the nutritional value and palatability of the final product, and the reconstituted rawhide sheets may be bleached for appearance.

  • Patent number: 9776027
Abstract: The invention discloses a unidirectional spray type fire extinguishing bomb without high explosive fragmentation, includes a housing, a fuse, an igniter, an fire extinguishing agent and a main charge, and further includes a tail braking device, combustor, a plate closure, a piston and a diffuser. The housing, the tail braking device and the piston are made of light metal materials; the housing is cylindrical; the tail braking device is arranged at the bottom of the housing and is fixed with the housing through a screw nail; and the fuse is arranged on the diffuser and is fixed through a screw nail. During working process, when the fuse detects the fire extinguishing bomb to be 5-10 meters far away from a combustion source, the igniter ignites the main charge, the piston is pushed under high pressure to move in the housing, and the fire extinguishing agent is sprayed out from spraying holes to the combustion source for fire extinguishing.

  • Publication number: 20170228462
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure enable generating, maintaining, and/or updating a model configured to identify content for a segment. In some examples, a plurality of keywords associated with accessing webpages are retrieved. A plurality of keyword scores corresponding to the keywords are generated. Based on the keyword scores, a subset of keywords are identified as being associated with the segment. The subset of keywords are compared with content keywords associated with content to determine whether to include the content in a subset of content associated with the segment. Users associated with the subset of content are identified. Based on metrics associated with the users, the users are labeled for generating a training set associated with the segment. Aspects of the disclosure enable a predictive model to be generated, maintained, and/or updated in a calculated and systematic manner for increased performance.

  • Publication number: 20170076318
Abstract: Architecture that includes an automated content recommendation engine to enhance the quality of content being delivered, and machine learning for the content recommendation. Content recommendation is improved for users and the dissatisfaction rate of displayed content lowered, thereby improving the overall user experience. More specifically, the architecture enables and obtains direct user feedback (e.g., like/dislike) and crowdsourced user feedback of the content, merges content features with the user feedback to build the content recommendation engine, uses the content recommendation engine to detect other content that the user may like or dislike, and, thereby reduces the DSAT rate of display content using the content recommendation engine.

  • Publication number: 20150066119
Abstract: Infant warming systems are described herein generally comprising a temperature regulation assembly which encloses a phase change material (PCM). The temperature regulation assembly may be initially heated (or re-heated) by water contained within a heating assembly and then placed within a retaining pouch of an infant bedding. The PCM may then provide constant heat over a period of time to the infant. A control/indicator interface coupled to the regulation assembly may constantly monitor the temperature of the PCM as well as the ambient temperature to provide one or more indications or alerts to the user with respect to one of several states of the warming assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150012075
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for regulating body temperature. The system includes a housing that comprises compartments for a phase change material and a heat transfer material. The compartments are configured to transfer heat from the heat transfer material to the phase change material. A temperature sensor is used to determine when the phase change material has reached a pre-determined temperature. When the pre-determined temperature is reached, a release mechanism or lever is coupled to the temperature sensor to separate the phase change material compartment from the heat transfer material compartment or to remove the heat transfer material away from the phase change material compartment. The heated phase change material compartment can be used to regulate body temperature.
