  • Publication number: 20050134097
Abstract: A mouse pad has an iron plate joined thereto while a chair armrest has a magnet joined to an upper portion thereof; the magnet has such a magnetic force on the iron plate as to be capable of preventing the mouse pad from falling off the armrest after the mouse pad is positioned on the armrest, and attracted to the magnet; the mouse pad can be horizontally adjusted in position after it is attracted to the magnet.

  • Patent number: 6883872
Abstract: An armrest of a chair includes an armrest main body arranged on one side of a seat of a chair for allowing a sitter to rest one hand thereon, an adjustment mechanism connected to both the seat and the armrest main body for adjusting the armrest main body with, and an auxiliary security unit securely located opposite an outward side of the armrest main body for allowing the sitter to press the hand against when the sitter is standing up from the seat; thus, the sitter doesn't have to press his the hand against the armrest main body, which might lock ineffectively after adjustment, and will move to cause accidents if the sitter presses it hard when standing up.

  • Patent number: 6840578
Abstract: A chair has a seat connected to a support leg in an up and down angularly displaceable manner, elastic elements for propping up a rear end of the seat to a higher position, and a mechanism for limiting position of the seat when the seat seats people; the mechanism has an adjustment rod, a gear turnable together with the adjustment rod, an elastic plate for engaging the gear so as to prevent rotation of the gear when the adjustment rod isn't operated, and eccentric cams for holding the seat at desired position when the chair seats people; the cams can turn together with the adjustment rod, and are each formed with a stopping edge having several sections; thus, the depressed position of the seat, i.e. the position when the seat seats people, is decided by the position of the cams, and the seat can move accordingly when the sitter leans forwards.

  • Patent number: 6659554
Abstract: An adjustment device of a chair backrest includes a fixed member a movable member and a fixing spanner. The fixed member is fixed to a bottom of a seat of a chair. The movable member is pivoted to the fixed member, and a support rod of the backrest is connected to a rear end of the movable member. The fixing spanner is connected to an outer end of a bolt passing through both a lateral curved slot of the fixed member and a round hole of the movable member from a connecting end portion thereof so as to be turnable between an unlocking position for allowing adjustment of the backrest and a locking position for fixing the movable member after the adjustment. The fixed member further has a curved bump enclosing the curved slot. The bump has a tapering lateral side with an upper portion bigger than a lower portion thereof, whereby the backrest can be further secured in position after the adjustment.

  • Patent number: 6145930
Abstract: An adjustment device for a chair back comprises a fixed member, a frame member, an engaging member and a controlling member. The fixed member is fixed to a bottom of the seat, and has a toothed portion projecting out from the seat. The frame member is fixed to the chair back. The frame member is pivoted to the fixed member, and has a cog rotatably disposed on said toothed portion. A spring is connected to both the fixed member and the frame member to bias the frame member and the chair back toward the seat. The engaging member is movably disposed on the cog. A steel rope is connected to the controlling member and the engaging member such that the engaging member can separate from the cog for permitting the frame member to be pivoted on the fixed member, and let the chair back to be adjusted when the controlling member is moved.

  • Patent number: 6132001
Abstract: An adjustment device for an arm of a chair comprises a fixed tube member, an inner tube and an adjustment member. The fixed tube member is fixed to an upper side of the seat of the chair, and has rows of teeth on upright trenches on inner side thereof. The inner tube is movably received in the fixed tube member, and connected to the arm from an upper end. The adjustment member is fixed to an intermediate portion of the inner tube, and has cogs turnably disposed the teeth of the fixed tube member. An engaging member is movably disposed on the cogs; the engaging member is biased downwardly by a spring, and connected to a rope of a controlling member such that same can be lifted by pushing the controlling member. The engaging member has engaging teeth opposing the cogs such that the cogs are stopped from turning for fixing the adjustment member and the arm in position when the engaging member is not lifted.

  • Patent number: 5848823
Abstract: A chair armrest adjuster includes a vertical adjuster and an angle adjuster combined with a seat and an armrest cushion. The vertical adjuster is fixed with the seat with a fix plate, able to be lifted and lowered down elastically to one of many positions and locked. The angle adjuster is combined on the vertical adjuster and swung inward or outward to one of many angles with a rotatable base. Thus the armrest is able to be adjusted in its height and angle so as to support and give comfortableness to the arms of a user who sits on a chair.
