    Abstract: An optical storage device capable of operating when abnormal, includes: a control unit for controlling operations of the optical storage device; and a sensor coupled to the control unit, where in a normal mode of the optical storage device, the control unit triggers the start-up or stop of a procedure through the sensor. The control unit is capable of controlling the optical storage device to enter an abnormal mode, and triggering the start-up or stop of the procedure in the abnormal mode according to whether the procedure times out or according to a user command.
