  • Patent number: 8258902
Abstract: A sealed magnetically controlled electric switch assembly comprising an electric switch having an on/off operating means, an active magnet means, a follower magnet means, and a sealable insulating housing. The electric switch and the follower magnet means both are sealed in the housing in such a way that the on/off operating means of the switch is coupled with the follower magnet means for motion therewith. The active magnet means is disposed outside the housing in such a way that a resulting magnetic force is formed between the active magnet means and the follower magnet means to switch the on/off operating means of said switch back and forth between the on and off positions.

  • Patent number: 6762662
Abstract: A hermetically sealed electrical switch assembly comprises a casing having an opening end. A cover is sealingly attached to said opening end of said casing for forming a primary volume hermetically sealed from external environment. Received in said primary volume are a switch means and a magnetic responsive means. A magnetic activating means is fitted at the upper surface of said cover for effecting the movement of said magnetic responsive means. The switch means comprises electrical contacts to change the conducting state of a power circuit with which said switch means is connected, a switching lever which can change its positions according to the conducting state of the power circuit. The magnetic responsive means couples with said switching lever for moving with it.

  • Patent number: 5777536
Abstract: A sealed electric switch assembly comprises a magnetic control assembly having first and second magnetic members which is mounted to a top wall of a sealed casing, and an elongated plate having third and fourth magnetic members which is mounted oppositely to the first and second magnetic members so that the elongated plate member can be attracted and repulsed magnetically by the magnetic control assembly. A linkage mechanism is mounted adjacent to the elongated plate member for moving a movable contact of a movable arm to connect and disconnect with a stationary contact. A rotary assembly and a tripping assembly are mounted above the linkage mechanism and over an electromagnet.

  • Patent number: 4739291
Abstract: A magnetic vacuum circuit breaker includes a sealed casing. Mounted in the casing are a stationary contact, a movable contact, a linkage connected to the movable contact, a tension for activating the linkage, and a stop device controllable by an electromagnet for normally hindering the linkage from the linking-up motion resulting from the tension force of the tension spring. A manual switch is provided for moving the movable contact to electrically connect with and disconnect from the stationary contact to thus close and open the circuit. An automatically indicating device is drivable by the linkage to indicate the state of overload or short-circuit when the circuit is converted into the same state. In addition, when the circuit is converted to the state of overload or short-circuit, the linkage is released from the stop device by the action of the electromagnet so that the movable contact is pulled by the tension spring away from the stationary contact to open the circuit.

  • Patent number: 4288767
Abstract: An automatic magnetic switch comprising an over-load or short-circuit protection means and a manual magnetic switch installed in the switch casing. A magnetic control means is contained in a sub-casing of the switch. The manual magnetic switch has a conductive plate with an electrical contact fixedly mounted in its casing and another conductive plate, generally rigid and inflexible, has an electrical contact mounted thereon for pivoting or sliding movement. Permanent magnets, one on the movable plate, and one outside the casing urge the movable plate to a contact engaging position when the outside magnetic member is brought proximate to the casing, and a spring is used to restore the movable plate to its non-engaging position when the outside magnetic member is moved away from the casing.
