    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to utilizing a firmware configuration system to efficiently update a firmware profile configuration of computing devices (e.g., host devices in a datacenter). For example, the firmware configuration system facilitates updating the firmware profile configuration, such as for a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) profile and/or a Basic Input/Output System (BIOS), without needing to develop, deploy, and install a new BIOS. More specifically, the firmware configuration system updates (e.g., via a baseband management controller) firmware profile configurations by modifying a profile configuration table in flash memory (i.e., on an SPI flash-based chip) of a BIOS with a firmware profile configuration update patch and without affecting other parts of the BIOS.

    Abstract: A secure firmware update patch release process includes providing (1) a test mode in firmware for performing firmware verification testing on a firmware update patch and (2) an additional signing applied to the firmware update patch after the firmware verification testing and before deployment of the firmware update patch in a production environment. A developer may generate and build a firmware update patch and release the patch for firmware verification testing. Before the firmware verification testing, a platform signature is added to the firmware update patch. The test mode may authenticate the firmware update patch based on the platform signature. If the firmware update patch passes the firmware verification testing, a system signature may be added to the firmware update patch. The system signature may be required to authenticate the firmware update patch while the firmware operates in an official mode of operation.

The structure of the sunshade is simple and therefore is easily assembled, whilst internal structures are robust to prevent breakage and vibration.

    Abstract: A novel light source device assembly comprises a substrate, a plurality of light source devices and a heat dissipation plate. In the substrate, a plurality of through holes is provided at a plurality of predetermined positions, to support the plurality of light source devices. In the heat dissipation plate, at positions corresponding to that of the plurality of through holes, a plurality of upwardly protruded tongue pieces is provided, whereby each tongue piece is in contact with its respectively corresponding light source device in the plurality of through holes. Metal solders may be applied in between the plurality of tongue pieces and their corresponding plurality of light source devices to enhance the heat dissipation efficiencies. Necessary circuitry may be provided in the substrate and the circuitry may be in connection with the light source device electrically.

Each of the BLUs includes a light guide, a light source structure adjacent to the light guide, and a heat conduction member contacting the light source structure. The light guide has a light-emitting surface arranged on a top thereof and a bottom surface opposing the light-emitting surface, the light-emitting surface being larger than the bottom surface so that that light guide defines a first cavity formed therebetween. The light source structure is received in the first cavity. The light guide in two adjacent BLUs of the module defines a second cavity opposite the first cavity for receiving an adjacent heat conduction member of a prior adjacent light guide. The module is provided with a variable size with the BLUs assembled together to meet requirements.
