    Abstract: Described are drainage catheter hub devices which seal the hub from leakage when connected to a catheter. The catheter hub includes a hub body having an aperture with a sealing element mounted therein and a fluid passageway that communicates with the aperture. The fluid passageway and sealing element are configured to receive a tension member. A lever arm attached to the hub body is operable to secure the position of the tension member in the sealing element in a locked position or allow movement of the tension member through the sealing element in an unlocked position. The lever arm is configured to engage and compress the sealing element to block fluid flow through the sealing element and the aperture when the lever arm is in any position. The hub body may include a centering tab to align the tension member along a longitudinal axis of the hub body.

    Abstract: A glass-tube heater includes a glass tube, a cap, and a temperature display unit. The glass tube is provided therein with an off-water protection sensor or a tipping switch, a control circuit board, one of a TRIAC and a relay, and a heating element. The control circuit board includes a control unit (which is an MCU or a comparator). All the components that are disposed in the glass tube are electrically connected to form a control circuit. Devices for temperature control, detection, and heating are all disposed inside the glass tube. The off-water protection sensor is operable to detect if being removed out of water for controlling the heating element to carry out heating or not, thereby ensuring quick termination of heating upon removal out of water. The tipping switch is operable to control the heating element from heating in case of excessive tipping of the heater.

    Abstract: A configurable leak detection system comprising a leak detection device and at least a leak detection covering comprising a leak detection region having a first and second electrode and at least an attachable region is provided. The first and second electrodes are disposed spaced apart and fixed in firm contact with the covering. The system is attached onto liquid cooling systems, bases, and/or fluid conduits. When liquid is leaked onto the covering, the liquid is absorbed therein, until the dampened region extends over some point on each of the first and second electrodes. An electrical current is conducted, providing a low resistance path therebetween. An impedance change is detected, an alert means is generated, and the leak detection device is reset. More than one configurable leak detection system is attached onto systems, bases and/or fluid conduits via the at least an attachable region, and then electrically coupled together.
