  • Patent number: 8305005
Abstract: An integrated circuit for driving high-voltage LED lamps is applied to a rectified alternative current (AC) power and a plurality of LED stacks. The integrated circuit includes a control unit, a plurality of current-clamping units which electrically connect to the control unit and the LED stacks respectively, and a plurality of current-sensing units which electrically connect to the current-clamping units and the control unit. When the rectified power is switched on, the current-sensing unit constantly monitors the electrical current flowing through the respective current-clamping unit and feeds back the monitored data to the control unit. The control unit sequentially switches on or off the current-clamping units according to the combinatorial logic state of the monitored data.

  • Publication number: 20100212378
Abstract: An electric steering lock for a motorcycle includes a housing, a transmission assembly, a spindle, and a circuit board. The transmission assembly has an actuator, a first gear, a second gear and a sliding block each arranged within the housing in transmissive engagement with each other. The spindle is assembled with the sliding block and acts in the second space. The circuit board is arranged on the bottom of the housing. The primary control chip of the motorcycle controls the circuit board to make the transmission assembly to drive the spindle to move accordingly. The sliding block touches an inner wall of the casing to make it unable to move forwards or backwards any more. The current of the actuator at this time is larger than that in its normal operation. The rotation of the actuator is ceased by the circuit board when a variation in current of the actuator is detected by the circuit board.

Abstract: An electric steering lock for a motorcycle includes a housing, a transmission assembly, a spindle, a set of sensors and a circuit board. The transmission assembly has an actuator, a first gear, a second gear and a sliding block each arranged within the housing in transmissive engagement with each other. The spindle is assembled with the sliding block and acts in the housing. A primary control chip of the motorcycle controls the circuit board to make the transmission assembly to drive the spindle to move accordingly. The circuit board determines that the spindle is locked and reaches a predetermined position if the sliding block presses the front sensor, and the circuit board determined that the spindle is unlocked and reaches a predetermined position if the sliding block presses the rear sensor.

  • Publication number: 20080278705
Abstract: A stage assembly (220) that moves a work piece (200) about a first axis and along a first axis includes a first stage (238), a second stage (240) that retains the work piece (200), a second mover assembly (244), a measurement system, and an initialization system (1081A). The second mover assembly (244) moves the second stage (240) relative to the first stage (238) about the first axis. The measurement system (22) monitors the position of the second stage (240) about the first axis when the second stage (240) is positioned within a working range about the first axis. The initialization system (1081A) facilitates movement of the second stage (240) about the first axis when the second stage (240) is rotated about the first axis outside the working range. The second mover assembly (244) can include a mover (255) and a dampener (410) that reduces the transmission of vibration from the first stage (238) to the second stage (240).

  • Publication number: 20070284502
Abstract: “Hexapod” mountings are disclosed for use with optical elements. An exemplary mounting includes a base, a platform that is movable relative to the base, and six legs having nominally identical length. Three pairs of legs, having substantially equal stiffness, extend between the base and platform and support the platform relative to the base. In each pair of legs, respective first ends are coupled together in a ?-shaped manner forming a respective apex. Respective second ends are splayed relative to the apex, desirably forming an angle of substantially 109.5° at the apex. The apices are mounted equidistantly from each other on a circle on the platform. The respective second ends of the pairs of legs are mounted at respective locations on a circle on the base. The axes of each pair of legs define a respective leg plane substantially perpendicular to the base plane. Each leg has an actuator that, when energized, changes a length of the respective leg.
