  • Patent number: 10110873
Abstract: A backward depth mapping method for stereoscopic image synthesis includes: providing a first coordinate and a first depth value of a pixel of a virtual view in a stereoscopic image; calculating a second coordinate and a second depth value of a pixel of reference view, which is obtained by mapping the virtual view, based on the first coordinate and the first depth value of the pixel of the virtual view; calculating an error value corresponding to the first depth value based on the second coordinate and second depth value; and determining a third depth value of the pixel of the virtual view based on the error value. As a result, it is possible to avoid the virtual view producing a crack and the pixel of the background from appearing at the crack of the foreground.

  • Patent number: 9330210
Abstract: The present invention provides a sand art simulation system and method, which transfers an image into sand art. Analyze contour lines and feature points of objects in the image to find out which contour line can be drawn at the same time. Divide the image into a plurality of blocks, and analyze sand spilling ways at each block. Simulate sand floating in the air, moving and heaping to make a sand-spread plane. Then draw the contour lines on the sand-spread plane to show the sand art of the image.

  • Patent number: 9313021
Abstract: A secret communication method with a self-authentication capability is provided, which comprises steps of dividing a secret message into a plurality of secret segments; converting each of the secret segments into (k+1) shares, wherein k is a positive integer; embedding the shares into a media carrier; selecting every k shares among the (k+1) ones to compute (k+1) copies in value; and checking if the (k+1) copies in value are the same. If the (k+1) copies in value are the same, then the secret message is shown. Otherwise, at least one mark will be utilized to replace the secret message while the part of the secret message which is not falsified can still be correctly shown. By employing the method, the integrity and fidelity of the hidden secret message can thus be verified, thereby achieving a new covert communication process performing both information hiding and self-authentication capability.

  • Publication number: 20150326750
Abstract: The present invention provides a data hiding method via revision records on a collaboration platform, which first creates a collaborative database including a plurality of articles and revision records. A user puts as input a cover document, a secret message, and a key on a collaboration platform. Based on four characteristics of multi-user collaborative-writing processing, the collaborative-writing platform is used, together with a key, to hide a secret message into the cover document automatically while simulating a collaborative-writing process and generate a stego-document where the secret message is hidden. Only authorized users with the key can extract the right secret message from the stego-document i.e. the message-hidden document successfully.

  • Patent number: 9071752
Abstract: A scene imaging method using a portable two-camera omni-imaging device for human-reachable environments is disclosed. Firstly, an upper omni-image and a lower omni-image of at least one scene are captured. Next, image inpainting and image dehazing perform on the upper omni-image and the lower omni-image. Next, image unwrapping performs on the upper omni-image and the lower omni-image by a pano-mapping table, so as to form an upper panoramic image and a lower panoramic image respectively, and the upper panoramic image and the lower panoramic image respectively have an upper part and a lower part overlapping each other. Finally, a data item on the upper part and the lower part is obtained by view points of the scene and the pano-mapping table, thereby stitching the upper and lower panoramic images.

  • Patent number: 8949610
Abstract: A method for embedding a secret message into a PNG image comprises steps: converting a secret message into a plurality of secret codes; converting the secret codes into a plurality of secret shares; using a mapping process to modify values of the secret shares to approach a full-transparent value of an alpha channel of a PNG image, and sequentially embedding the mapped secret shares into the alpha channel. As the secret shares with high-transparent values, they leave the RGB channels untouched. Thus, embedding the secret shares into the PNG image does not make difference in the appearances between the secret-carrying image and the original PNG image. Therefore, the present invention can transmit secret message securely and realize covert communication.
