Abstract: A method for sustained expression of an exogenous gene forms a circular episomal plasmid to solve the problem of transient expression of baculovirus in the transduced mammalian cells caused by the dilution and degradation when mammalian cells replicate and also prevents dysfunctional cell metabolism.

Abstract: An optical film includes a substrate and a plurality of grating structures. The substrate has a light incident surface and a light exit surface opposite to the light incident surface, wherein the light exit surface includes a plurality of semi-cylinder surfaces disposed side by side. The grating structures are disposed on portions of the light exit surface, and an extending direction of each of the grating structures is substantially parallel with an extending direction of each of the semi-cylinder surfaces. The optical film improves uniformity of a plane light source. Further, a backlight module using the optical film is provided.

Abstract: A method is provided for detecting connection errors in an Internet telephony gateway (ITG) including a subscriber line interface controller (SLIC). The method includes initializing the SLIC for enabling the SLIC to operate in a forward active state; determining a connection status of the port; enabling the SLIC to operate in a reverse active state if the port is connected; determining whether the SLIC is in an open state after setting the SLIC in the reverse active state; generating connection error information if the SLIC is in the open state, for indicating that a connection error has occurred in the port. An ITG employing the method is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a spinning-type pattern-fabrication system and a method thereof. This invention comprises at least one carry table used to carry objects, an object-fixing device used to fix the objects onto the carry table, and a control system controlling carry table or at least one laser device. The control system also controls the laser device to move linearly back and forth to enable the laser device to fabricate patterns on the objects with the laser beam emit via the laser device. Thereby, the present invention provides a spinning-type pattern-fabrication system and a method thereof, which fabricates patterns on multiple objects in a single operation and promotes the speed of pattern fabrication.
