    Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal display (LCD) (40) includes an LCD panel (42), a backlight module (41), and a housing assembly. The housing assembly includes a rear housing (48) and a corresponding front housing (46) to secure the LCD panel and the backlight module. The rear housing has a first sidewall (481) with a first hole (482). The front housing has a second sidewall (461) with a second hole (462) aligned with the first hole. A flexible printed circuit board (44) is electrically connected to the LCD and passes through the first and second holes, such that the housing assembly can protect the flexible printed circuit board without reducing the mechanical strength of the housing assembly.

The first sliding guide is defined at an inner side of a portion of the frame that is adjacent to the second side wall, and supports one side of the light guide plate. The first sliding guide communicates with the opening, and is configured for allowing the light guide plate to slide into the frame.

    Abstract: An exemplary in-vehicle LCD device (100) includes a temperature sensor (101), a power circuit selector (102), a power circuit (103), a reverse power circuit (105), a Peltier member (106), and a LCD module (107) having the Peltier member operatively coupled thereto. The temperature sensor, the power circuit selector, the power circuit, the Peltier member, and the LCD module are electrically connected series, and the reverse power circuit is electrically connected between the power circuit selector and the Peltier member. The in-vehicle LCD device can automatically control the Peltier member to be in either one of the normal and reverse operation states or be turned off, according to the environmental temperature detected by the temperature sensor. Therefore the operational temperature of the LCD module can be adjusted to be in the normal range.
