  • Patent number: 10502010
Abstract: A system and methods of using air compressors to create a jet vacuum to accelerate the drilling fluid circulation, which is located on the surface, or down the hole through passages along the well casings or drilling pipes. The jet vacuum is applied to help suck up the drilling fluids with cuttings. They are used in addition to the pumps and boosters to push and circulate the drilling mud or aerated-compound fluid. The invention accelerates the drilling fluid circulation and reduces the number of pumps and boosters.

  • Patent number: 9110195
Abstract: An electromagnetic and its combined surveying apparatus and method, utilizing small-sized one or three-dimensional magnetic field sensors with high dynamic range and high sensitivity, which can be used together with highly populated receivers for the electromagnetic exploration. The electrical field could be derived from the vertical component of the magnetic field of the highly populated receivers and the magneto-telluric data could be derived by measuring the three components of the magnetic data. Moreover, by means of connecting the same populated receivers with geophones or MEMS accelerometers, and moving the seismic sources together with the mobile electromagnetic source, seismic survey could be carried out. It is therefore able to undertake the interpretation of the seismic, electromagnetic and magneto-telluric data and perform a combined field exploration.

  • Patent number: 6469624
Abstract: An improved non-obtrusive weapon detection system and method used in discriminating between a concealed weapon made of a ferromagnetic material. The system provides a high probability of detection of hand guns and other types of weapons with a low false alarm rate. The detection of the weapon is accomplished by measuring a total electromagnetic field. The total field being the sum of an incident electromagnetic field and an electromaetic field scattered from the object. The system uses a magnetic field transmitter, which transmits a low intensity electromagnetic signal. The electromagnetic signal illuminates a volume wherein the weapon, called a target, may or may not be carried by a person. The electromagnetic signal is in a form of a sudden steplike change in a constant magnetic field, called a “time-domain” excitation. The waveform or step pulse of the time-domain excitation is called a Heaviside step pulse.
