Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a first body, a second body, a pivot set for hinging the second body to the first body and a torsion spring. The pivot set includes a pivot seat and a pivot extending from the pivot seat. The pivot seat is detachably secured to the first body. The pivot rotatably extends into the second body. The torsion spring includes a fixing end thereof fixed to the second body, and a sliding end thereof slidably pressing against the first body.

Abstract: The present invention provides an airflow conducting structure for an electronic device having a base and a control box. The control box is inserted in and mounted on the base, and a first connection section is disposed in a grooved top of the base. The control box has a box body, a heat generating source disposed in the box body, and a second connection section disposed on the bottom of the box body for being connected to the first connection section. The airflow conducting structure includes airflow inlets and airflow outlets that are respectively disposed on the base and the control box, so as to form a chimney-like airway. Therefore, a better heat dissipating efficiency is achieved without increasing the volume of the electronic device.

Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a main body defining a locking hole therein and an auxiliary body having a latch therein. The latch includes a button, a slider, and a spring member positioned between the button and the auxiliary body. The slider includes a locking portion retractably inserted into the locking hole. The slider is slidably engaged with the button in a manner that when the button is pressed along a first direction, the slider is pushed by the button to slide along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, thereby retracting the locking portion from the locking hole. The spring member is for elastically loading the button in a third direction opposite to the first direction.

Abstract: A UPS system includes one or more UPS units with identical or different capacities. A control circuit, used to control a DC/AC inverter of the UPS unit, includes a voltage feedback control circuit and a current feedforward control circuit. The voltage feedback control circuit is used to control the amplitude and the waveform of load voltage. The current feedforward control circuit is used to operate the DC/AC inverter of the UPS unit as a virtual fundamental resistor and a virtual harmonic resistor which are serially connected to an output terminal of the DC/AC inverter such that each UPS unit can be distributed to provide an output current according to the capacity ratio of the UPS system.

Abstract: A motherboard device includes a first connecting interface coupled to a first graphics card, a second connecting interface coupled to a second graphics card, a power source connected electrically to the first connecting interface for supplying electric power to the first graphics card via the first connecting interface, and a switch unit interconnecting electrically the power source and the second connecting interface, and operable so as to switch between an ON-state, where the power source supplies electric power to the second graphics card via the second connecting interface, and an OFF-state, where the electric power from the power source is not supplied to the second graphics card.

Abstract: The present invention provides a slantwise connecting base for being connected to a control box having a first connection port. The slantwise connecting base includes a baseplate, a first circuit board and a second circuit board fixed to the baseplate. The baseplate has at least a slanting platform disposed thereon at a slant angle, and the slanting platform is used for disposing the first circuit board to be thereon. Moreover, the first circuit board has a second connection port corresponding to the first connection port, and the second connection port is used for being electrically connected to the control box. The second circuit board has an electrical connection portion for being electrically connected to the first circuit board, thereby allowing the second circuit board and the second connection port to be electrically connected to each other. Thus, the slantwise connecting base provides a means for the control box to be slantwise plugged therein.

Abstract: A centrifugal fan includes a fan frame (20), and a stator (30) and a rotor (40) received in the fan frame. The fan frame includes a bottom base (22), an opposite top cover (21) and a side wall (23) interconnecting the bottom base and the top cover. A first air inlet (24a) is defined in the top cover and a second air inlet (24b) is defined in the bottom base. The rotor includes a hub (41) and a plurality of blades (42) extending from an outer periphery of the hub. An air flow channel (48) is formed between an outer periphery of the blades and the side wall of the fan frame. A cylindrical wall (26, 26a) is formed around one of the first air inlet and the second air inlet to guide airflow from the first and second air inlets into the air flow channel and block the airflow in the air flow channel from flowing back towards the first and second air inlets.

A curved tongue portion (190) is formed on the sidewall (160) in vicinity of the air outlet (180). A protrusion (124) is formed on the cap (120) in vicinity of the curved tongue portion (190) and protrudes into the air inlet (122).

Abstract: A storage medium player includes a base defining a medium-receiving area, a driving device mounted in the base for driving a medium, a cover pivotably attached to the base adjacent one side of the medium-receiving area, and a safety device mounted in the base adjacent an opposite side of the medium-receiving area. The safety device is capable of being switched between an activated state and a deactivated state upon pivoting the cover with respect to the base. When the cover is closed, the safety device is in the activated state and the driving device is enabled. One of the upper body and the lower body includes a first engaging portion and defines a hole. The indicator device includes an indicating lamp and a shield arranged between the indicating lamp and the hole. The indicating lamp is electrically connected with the printed circuit board so as to be supplied with an operating voltage by the printed circuit board. The shield is mounted in the base with one end thereof being engaged with the first engaging portion. The shield includes a main body and a protruding portion extending away from the main body. At least a part of the protruding portion is received in the hole.

Abstract: A portable electronic device with a fastening mechanism includes a main body and a subsidiary casing. The main body comprises a bottom wall and a side wall extending from one edge of the bottom wall. A receptacle is defined in the sidewall thereof. The subsidiary casing is configured for receiving a battery therein. The subsidiary casing comprises a latch formed thereon. The latch is engaged into the receptacle to prevent the subsidiary casing from moving along a first direction, wherein the latch is inserted into the receptacle along a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction when the subsidiary casing is assembled to the main body.

The opening and closing mechanism includes a compression spring providing a restoration force and a pushing button for applying a pushing force thereon. The pushing button includes a locking portion for releasing the lid from the base and for clasping the lid to the base, and at least one wedged potion for interfering in one end of the compression spring to fix the compression spring.

Abstract: A digital disc player includes a main body, a lid pivotally connected to the main body, and a latch mounted on the main body. The lid defines a recessed portion at one corner thereof and a hook is formed at the recessed portion. The latch includes a base through which the latch mounted on the main body, an end portion capable of moving in a horizontal direction relative to the base. When the lid is in a closed position, the hook engages the end portion. When the lid is in an open position, the hook exits from the end portion.

Abstract: A lock mechanism for a digital video player includes an elastic component, a switch, a main body, and a lid pivotally connected to the main body. The switch forms a switch button, a catch and a post for supporting the elastic component. The main body includes a cover and a housing. The cover defines a through hole thereon. The housing mounts at least one support for slideably supporting the switch, a stop plate connecting with the elastic component, and a second notch for accommodating the switch button. The lid mounts a hook on the bottom surface thereof corresponding to the through hole and being capable of hooking the catch when the lid is locked.

Abstract: An optical reproducing/recording apparatus (1) includes a chassis (11) with a first seat (17) and three second seats (16), a turntable (12), an optical pickup head (13) and a guide device (15). The turntable is located on the chassis for rotating an optical disk positioned thereon. The guide device has a first and second beams (151, 152). An end of the first beam is fixed on the first seat, the other end of the first beam and two ends of the second beam are respectively fixed on the second seats by an adjustable device (18). Each second seat has a groove for accommodating the beam and each adjustable device comprises an elastic element (182) and an adjustable element (181). The elastic element is positioned between the beam and a bottom of the groove and the adjustable element fixes the beam in the groove against a side of said groove.
