  • Publication number: 20060087581
Abstract: The invention describes an exposure control method. A target luminance value is set. A plurality of range and step parameters is set. An exposure value (EV) is set and an exposure value adjustment index is obtained by an adjustment based on the range and step. A new target luminance value is obtained from a table according to an adjustment factor. An measured luminance value is measured according to the exposure setting. A modified exposure value is calculated by an exposure value (EV) modification process. Thereby, basic arithmetic and logical operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are be used in place of complicated exposure calculation using a logarithmic operation in the conventional image processor and thus problems of power consumption and execution speed are resolved.

  • Publication number: 20060059216
Abstract: The present invention describes a method for square root computation, in which a shift-comparison operation is introduced into the computation process so as to obtain correction factors and adjusting factors. The bits of the correction factors are shifted to form estimation terms, and then the adjusting factors are used to correct the estimation terms to obtain the square root. The present invention is advantageous in both high speed for real-time operations and high accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20050270290
Abstract: A font display method using a font display co-processor to accelerate font display includes receiving font information from a baseband CPU and loading a mapping table, a font bitmap table, and a font code table to the font display co-processor. The font information is corresponded to a font code according to the font code table. The font code corresponds to a font index according to the mapping table. The font index is corresponded to a font bitmap according to the font bitmap table. Some special effects may be added to the font bitmap displayed on a display module.

  • Patent number: 6940524
Abstract: A method for adjusting sharpness and brightness of a digital image. In this method, an image function is first inputted into a processor. The image function comprises a plurality of control parameters. Next, the control parameter values of the control parameters are set, and then each of the pixels is sequentially leaded into the image function according to the control parameter value so as to perform the corresponding operation for adjusting the sharpness and brightness of the image. Finally, the adjusted image is outputted. Therefore, the two processes in the prior art, one for adjusting the brightness, the other for the sharpness, are merged into one process so that the design of the hardware circuit is simplified and the required memory space is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040208384
Abstract: A method for motion pixel detection with adaptive thresholds, according to the global motion information among the reference video fields, so as to correctly evaluate whether a missing pixel is in a static region or a non-static region, thereby reconstructing the missing pixel by an inter-field interpolation process or an intra-field interpolation process. If the amount of motion among the reference fields is large, there is high motion information among the reference fields, so the threshold is set to be small; if the amount is small, there is less motion information between the reference fields, and so the threshold should be set to be large.
