  • Publication number: 20040259418
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing with two communication ports and wrapped by a metal shield. The invention features on that the insulating housing having a sliding slot located on upper surface of the insulating housing near one of said communication port, and a fastening slot slanted bias on the insulating housing near the other communication port. The metal shield having an opening between two ends, a protruding end on one end, corresponding to the sliding slot of the insulating housing, and a fastening end, opposite to the protruding end, slants bias and corresponds to the fastening slot of the insulating housing near. The metal shield can be assembled onto the outer surface of the insulating housing rapidly and easily.

  • Patent number: 6717984
Abstract: A method of analyzing a sample waveform in the time domain. Firstly, a periodic wave, such as a sinusoidal wave, is inputted into a waveform processing module for obtaining a sample waveform. Next, a detection of a number of peaks of the sample waveform is performed. A determination is then made as to whether the period of the sample waveform is obtainable from the peaks of the sample waveform. If not obtainable, it indicates the waveform processing module is malfunctioning. If obtainable, a determination is then made as to whether the period of the sample waveform is equal to the predicted period. According to this determination, it indicates whether the waveform processing module is functioning.

  • Publication number: 20040017374
Abstract: A method for accessing image data is used in a computer system. The computer system includes a core logic unit, a system memory, a graphics accelerator, and an image data outputting device in communication with a south bridge chip of the core logic unit. The method comprises the following steps. Firstly, image data are received from the image data outputting device by the core logic unit. Then, the image data are written into an AGP memory block of the system memory. Afterwards, the image data are accessed in the AGP memory block by the graphics accelerator.

  • Publication number: 20030233229
Abstract: A digital audio signal processing method includes establishing a first frequency response corresponding to an audio signal, generating a second frequency response based on the first frequency response, and using the second frequency response to process the audio signal. The first frequency response has a plurality of first sampling points and a plurality of first amplitudes corresponding to the first sampling points respectively. The second frequency response is generated from selecting a portion of the first sampling points as second sampling points and corresponding first amplitudes as second amplitudes, in which the number of the second sampling points is less than the first sampling points. The second frequency response is used to process the audio signal through a convolution algorithm.

  • Patent number: 6522986
Abstract: An apparatus for testing a main board processing circuit for joystick buttons. The apparatus is used for testing the processing circuit of a main board, wherein the processing circuit is coupled to the joystick through a connector. The apparatus contains a test tool and a short-circuit node, wherein the test tool contains M pins, corresponding to M pins of the connector, for coupling the test tool with the connector. N pins of the M pins of the test tool correspond to the N pins of the connector, which are connected to the buttons. The short-circuit node is the common node of the N pins that are all short-circuited for simulating the actions of the joystick buttons. In the test, the connector is firstly connected to the test tool and the status values stored in a status register are detected. The connection is then disconnected from the test tool.
