  • Publication number: 20060203514
Abstract: A backlight module installs a light guide plate, a plurality of optical films, and a liquid crystal display panel in order on an emergent plane of a light source, wherein the light guide plate forms more than one hollow layer within an incident side to an effective light emitting area and a light adjusting component disposed on one side or both sides of the hollow layer, such that the hollow layer of the light guide plate changes the light path of the light of the light source and the light adjusting component improves its reflectivity to effectively distribute and evenly emit the light towards each optical film. As a result, the dark band in each light source can be eliminated, and the light performance including luminance and evenness can be enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20060139511
Abstract: An LCD backlight module construction has a reflector that gives light reflection and transmission features disposed at where the light is emitted from each light source for light diffused from both sides of the light source to be consistently diffused towards the diffuser after proper reflection and transmission through the reflector thus to eliminate the dim areas between light sources for providing effective solution to the problem of developing the light and shade bands found with the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20060072337
Abstract: A backlight module has two lighting sides installed inside a casing. Two sides of the casing have a main display screen and a sub-display screen. The backlight module comprises at least one light source; a light guide plate for guiding light from the light source to the main display screen and the sub-display screen. A lower diffusion sheet, a first light enhancing sheet and preferably, an upper diffusion sheet are installed between the main display screen and the light guide plate. A reflective sheet, a second light enhancing sheet and preferably, an upper diffusion sheet are installed between the sub-display screen and the light guide plate. Part of light from the sub-display screen is reflected to the main display screen.

  • Publication number: 20060072311
Abstract: A backlight module of a directly lighting backlight device comprises a casing; at least one S shape lamp tube; a reflecting sheet positioned below the lamp tube; a guide plate; the reflecting sheet reflecting light from the lamp tube with a predetermined angle to a guide plate above the lamp tube; the guide plate having the effect of diffusing the light to various angles by the pattern on the guide plate or the diffusion agents; whole reflection being not formed so that light emits out from a front surface of the guide plate so that the guide plate reflects light uniformly; a diffuser receiving the uniform distributed light; the diffuser being above the guide plate; and at least one light enhancing sheet; light diffused by the diffuser will further radiate to the at least one light enhancing sheets.

  • Publication number: 20060062014
Abstract: An LCD light source projection construction having light emitters evenly distributed in a cavity; the cavity being integrated with a light permeable layer to be adhered with optical film; multiple dimmers being disposed on and integrated with the light permeable layer to create reflection and deflection for the light beams passing through so to consistently present light source from each light emitter to omit the installation of a diffuser, simplify LCD configuration and effectively reduce LCD thickness.
