  • Publication number: 20040075354
Abstract: The non-biasing guiding mechanism related to CD-R drives is used to drive a data access device to move along a particular direction and to access the data on a CD. The shaft of the non-biasing guiding mechanism is fixed by an axis-fixing member. The axis-fixing member has ring parts on the opposite ends and a receiver integrally formed with the ring part in a concentric way. The ring part is coiled by a coil and sets inside the drive, and the hole is used for positioning the shaft and sets outside the drive. Therefore, the biasing problem of the shaft can be solved by using the axis-fixing member.

  • Publication number: 20040062654
Abstract: An axial flow fan with a plurality of segment blades is described. The axial flow fan has a base, a hub and a plurality of blade units. The hub is mounted on, or pivots on, the base and supports the blade units. Each of the blade units is connected to a periphery of the hub and extends radially outward from the base has a plurality of segment blades. A segment space between the segment blades reforms a boundary layer of fluid passing over the segment blades and reduces the thickness of the boundary layer on the blade surfaces. As a result, the separation between the blade surfaces and fluid is avoided to maintain a laminar flow of the fluid adjacent to the segment blades.

  • Publication number: 20040046467
Abstract: A magnetic bearing assembly having a magnetic portion for simultaneously generating axially and radially magnetic forces and a bearing portion for supporting a shaft upon its rotation is disclosed. The magnetic bearing assembly according to the present invention can be utilized in a motor of a cooling fan to provide the substantially frictionless rotation and the precise position of the shaft. Thus, it requires no lubrication, results in less abrasion and produces low noise, all of which contribute to extend the operating life of the bearing.

  • Publication number: 20040011508
Abstract: This specification discloses a heat sink for coolers. The heat sink contains a heat conductive element, a heat dissipating shell covering over the heat conductive element, and a plurality of heat dissipating fins installed on the heat dissipating shell. The heat conductive element is comprised of a heat conductive plate and a heat conductive block installed at the center thereof. The area of the lower surface of the heat conductive block is greater than that of the upper surface thereof. When the lower surface of the heat conductive plate is in contact with a device that needs heat dissipation, the heat conductive block increases the heat conducting volume at the center of the heat conductive plate, so that the heat produced by the device can be released at an optimal rate.
