    Abstract: A method of switching between multiple operating systems of a computer system includes the following steps. Firstly, the computer system is in an environment of a first operating system. Then, a system management interrupt is triggered to allow the computer system to enter a system management mode, and a controlling authority of the computer system is transferred from the first operating system to a basic input output system. Then, a backup of a first environmental parameter of the first operating system is created. If the second environmental parameter is not included in the computer system, a second operating system is loaded in a normal mode. On the other hand, if the second environmental parameter is included in the computer system, the second operating system is booted according to the second environmental parameter.

The matching module is connected to the embedded controller and performs a matching authentication according to the identification information. If the matching authentication is successful, the matching module searches whether required account confidential information exists in a database according to the identification information. If yes, the matching module selects and transmits the required account confidential information to the embedded controller.

    Abstract: A computer system and a method for calculating straightness of facial are provided. In the method, an image is processed to obtain a facial area and eyes locations. The facial area is divided into two sub-areas. Then, each of the sub-area and the corresponding symmetric image thereof are coupled together to form two reference images. Finally, the characteristic values of the facial area and two of the reference images are used for calculating the straightness of the facial area based on the principle of facial symmetry. As a result, the judgment on the straightness of the facial in an image can be more correct and objective, and the situation of taking an image with a tilted angle of facial can be avoided.

A processing unit obtains a frame of a video source from a image capture device, determines the maximum frame size of the video stream and a first size and a second size of frames needed by a first application program and a second application program, transfers a first frame whose size conforms to the first size to the first buffer according to the frame size of the video stream, and simultaneously copies and transfers a second frame whose size conforms to the second size from the first buffer to the second buffer. A first virtual camera obtains the first frame from the first buffer and transfers the first frame to the first application program to display.     Abstract: Boot methods for use in a computer system. The computer system boots from a partition comprising an OS in hibernation mode. The OS exits the hibernation mode to a normal operating mode according to a hibernation file, and marks the hibernation file. The marked hibernation file is modified to the original hibernation file, and access to the partition returns to being monitored. If a write request to the partition is received, the data is discarded or written to another partition or a system memory of the computer system, and a write completion message is replied. If the computer system reboots, the OS also returns to the normal operating mode according to the original hibernation file.
