  • Publication number: 20100070481
Abstract: A system and method for allowing flexible and simultaneous updates to database objects from one or more users is disclosed. The system may receive a change request to the object from the first user and then from a second user. The system may determine if the object is locked and, if so, informing the first user. If an edit request is received from the second user, the second user may be provided with multiple options, such as incorporating changes made by first user and overwriting changes made by second user with changes made by first user, incorporating changes made by first user and overwriting changes made by first user with changes made by second user, and cancelling changes made by second user.

  • Patent number: 7495028
Abstract: R-enantiomer of Bambuterol, its preparation and therapeutic uses are disclosed. A composition includes R-Bambuterol or its therapeutically acceptable salt. A composition of R-Bambuterol includes at least 80% by weight of the R-enantiomer and not more than 20% by weight of the S-enantiomer based on a total weight of the Bmbuterol. A process includes: (a) asymmetrically reducing a suitably substituted and suitably protected bromoacetophenone compound to a chiral phenyl-bromoethanol comprising a primary bromo group and a secondary hydroxyl group; (b) displacing the bromo group by a suitably substituted and optionally protected primary amine to produce a protected chiral phenylethanolamine, and (c) removing the protecting groups to convert the protected chiral phenylethanolamine to a chiral phenylethanolamine.

  • Publication number: 20050220875
Abstract: The invention provides a sustained-release tablet that can release caffeine and other xanthine derived stimulants at a nearly constant rate. The tablet comprises a hydrophilic polymer of high molecular weight and in one embodiment, the tablet includes caffeine and poly(ethylene oxide) of molecular weight of about 4×106 to 8×106. Sustained delivery of caffeine and other xanthine-derived stimulants is possible with a low concentration of the polymer and moreover, a wide range of concentration of caffeine and other stimulants can be released at a nearly constant rate.

  • Patent number: 6381670
Abstract: A flash memory having over-erased cells eliminated and comprising adjustable erase and program conditions. The maximum and minimum threshold voltages of the cells are measured during the whole erase and program operations. The over-erased cells are shut down by applying a word line voltage lower than the minimum threshold voltage measured previously. Pre-program and repair operations for the over-erased cell are eliminated. Low read voltage is achieved. The erase and program conditions for the gate, source, drain voltage, width of a pulse, and number of pulses are adjustable in accordance with the threshold voltage to optimize the performance. A lookup table stores the relevant gate, source, drain voltage, width of a pulse, and number of pulses with respect to the threshold voltage for the adjustable conditions. The benefits achieved by the operation of the flash memory include high efficiency, long endurance, narrow threshold voltage distribution, low power consumption, and low process-sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 4811885
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a power transmission mechanism for use in an electrically operated stapler, which includes a high speed motor driving a flywheel through a pair of speed reducing gears; on the flywheel is disposed a vertical pin which is moved in synchronism with the wheel in each cycle to hit a ram member having a spring located therebehind which can be compressed then extended to force the ram to strike a staple in a power stroke. Thus the present electric stapler is free of use of a conventional electromagnetic coil; besides, the striking force of the ram can be more stable, not influenced by the inefficiency of local power supply, because of the adoption of a rechargeable battery disposed within the casing of the present stapler.
