    Abstract: A UE receives a system information block (SIB) from a base station. The UE determines whether the SIB includes a set of candidate repetition factors for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions. The UE transmits, to the base station in a message of a random access procedure, an indication of a capability of the UE for PUCCH repetition in response to determining that the SIB includes the set of candidate repetition factors. When the UE has the capability, the UE determines a particular repetition factor based on at least one of the set of candidate repetition factors and a dynamic indication of a repetition factor. When the UE has the capability, the UE further transmits an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative acknowledgement (NACK) of a message 4 of the random access procedure in a PUCCH in accordance with the particular repetition factor.

    Abstract: A network connection control system and method is provided. The network connection control system includes user equipments, base stations, a server and a processing unit. Each base station has a connection range and is configured to connect the user equipment located within the connection range. Each user equipment transmits a network parameter between it and every base station through the base station connected therewith to the server. The server generates a QUBO matrix according to all the network parameters and outputs the QUBO matrix to the processing unit. The processing unit processes the QUBO matrix based on a quantum annealing algorithm to obtain an optimized connection configuration of the user equipments and base stations. The server receives the optimized connection configuration and controls the connection range of each base station accordingly for making an actual connection configuration of the user equipments and base stations identical with the optimized connection configuration.

When the UE detects the GNSS position out-of-date condition in the RRC_CONNECTED stated, the UE determines whether the GNSS position fix time duration for measurement is smaller than the network scheduled duration for GNSS measurement and performs the GNSS position acquisition procedure in the RRC_CONNECTED state if determined yes. In another embodiment, the network scheduled duration for GNSS measurement is configured for the UE to re-acquire GNSS position fix in the RRC_CONNECTED state and may further include duration to re-acquire downlink (DL) synchronization with or without NTN system information block (SIB). In one embodiment, the network scheduled duration for GNSS measurement is a new scheduling gap or a GNSS timer.
