  • Publication number: 20190244846
Abstract: A transfer device for transferring a plurality of micro LED dies is provided. The transfer device includes a carrier plate, a plurality of deformable components, and a plurality of transfer heads. The plurality of deformable components are disposed on the carrier plate. The plurality of transfer heads are respectively disposed on the plurality of deformable components. Each of the transfer heads includes a plurality of micro protrusions arranged in an array on a side away from the corresponding one deformable component. Deformation of the deformable components leads to deformation of the transfer heads, such that a number of the micro protrusions in contact with the micro LED dies is decreased. Accordingly, the transfer device can easily release the micro LED dies.

  • Patent number: 7932891
Abstract: A multiple scan method for driving a display and a display therewith is provided. The multiple scan method is achieved by alternately driving the active pixels in the display twice or more times for expediting response time of these active pixels to reach the target luminance in the display. The pixels in the display are charged or discharged twice or more times within one frame period. By such design, the response time is shortened and quality for showing motion pictures is significantly improved.

  • Patent number: 7800599
Abstract: A display driving device is provided, which can solve the problem of stripes occurring on a display panel when accompanied with a system, such as a notebook computer system, upon booting. The display driving device includes a single-channel pulse width modulation circuit, a boost-lowering voltage circuit, a delay circuit, and a display driver. An operation voltage signal for enabling pixels is provided to the display panel with a delay by the delay circuit, so that it is later than the logic operation voltage signal for powering the display driving device, the voltage signal for enabling the pixels and that for disabling the pixels. Thus, the above “stripes” phenomenon can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7724971
Abstract: Image compression, decompression and motion detection methods are described. Two temporally adjacent frame images, a previous time frame and a current time frame, are compressed in round-off and averaging techniques. Next, according to the compressed data of two corresponding pixels of the two frame images, whether or not the pixel of the current time frame image is of a motion picture is detected. If the pixel is of a motion picture, the compressed pixel data of the previous time frame image is decompressed, and an overdrive process is performed on the decompressed pixel data and the original pixel data of the current time frame image to produce an overdrive output. If the pixel is not of a motion picture, an overdrive process is not performed.

  • Publication number: 20060077199
Abstract: The dynamic level-adjustment compensation circuit includes an analyzing unit, multiple gamma voltage generators and a selector. The analyzing unit is used to analyze the gray-level distribution of the dynamic image signal and output an analysis signal. Each of the gamma voltage generators producing a gamma voltage determined by a gamma characteristic curve. The selector is electrically connected to the analyzing unit and the gamma voltage generators. The selector selects one of the gamma voltage generators according to the analysis signal and the selected gamma voltage generator outputs the corresponding gamma voltage. The gray-level distribution of the dynamic image signal input to a display can be analyzed and then, determined by the analysis result, one of gamma voltage generators is selected to output a gamma voltage driving a display. Accordingly, the image quality can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7005079
Abstract: Due to lights with different wavelengths having different indexes of refraction in a liquid crystal, a retardation between lights with different wavelengths occurs and causes the problem of viewing angle of the liquid crystal display. The present invention provides a manufacturing method of light-guiding apparatus of a liquid crystal display to form light-guiding pillars having a characteristic of total reflection as a fiber. The light from back light module through the light-guiding pillars enters the liquid crystal at an incident angle smaller than 150 for reducing the retardation between lights with different wavelengths.
