  • Publication number: 20120320635
Abstract: A maximize efficiency method for resonant converter with self-adjusting switching points is disclosed. The method is operated by a resonant converter, which comprises a transformer and a field effect transistor (FET). When the transistor is turned on, energy is stored in the transformer. When the transistor is turned off, a resonant signal is generated at a drain of the transistor. At this time, a suitable trigger time has to be found to turn on the transistor, so as to reduce switching power loss. The method measures the slope of the resonant signal at the trigger time. This is used as a reference to adjust the next cycle's trigger time. If the slope is negative at the time of trigger, a delta time is added to the trigger time in the next cycle, If the slope is positive, a delta time is subtracted from the trigger time for the next cycle.

  • Patent number: 7868825
Abstract: An apparatus for transforming a signal strength of a wireless positioning system is provided. The apparatus is adapted for eliminating the difference of signal strengths between different mobile communication apparatuses or different environments. The apparatus includes a location estimation circuit. The location estimation circuit is adapted to obtain a possible coordinate by calculating a first signal strength distribution received by a mobile communication apparatus. The possible coordinate and the first signal strength distribution are taken as training data for training a transforming module with an approximation algorithm. Accordingly, the present invention adopts a positive correlation index and the approximation algorithm for automatically training a transforming module for the mobile communication apparatus without using the information of chip model and location of mobile communication apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7253714
Abstract: A high-efficiency power supply transformer improved on its iron core which is a closed annular member made by continuous winding a silicon steel sheet and completed by sintering and fixing to keep directionality, after insulation processing with a heat shrinking wrapper on the core, a primary coil is formed by winding a wire annularly, then is enveloped by second time insulation processing with a heat shrinking wrapper; then a secondary coil is formed by winding a wire annularly and is enveloped by third time insulation processing with a heat shrinking wrapper; and pairs of end input wires of the primary and of the secondary coils extend outwards. With the core in the form of a closed annular member, its magnetic circuit is a closed magnetic circuit; hence its magnetizing energy and core consumption are 25% less than those of a conventional stacking type core and largely increase the efficiency of the power supply.
