  • Patent number: 6860666
Abstract: A pen comprises a plurality of cartridges matingly cascaded together along a bore thereof, the stick of each cartridge having a color different that of others, two inner opposite protrusions adjacent a bottom end of the pen, the protrusions being adapted to fasten the lowest cartridge, and two opposite recesses at the bottom end of the pen; and a releasable pen. Removing the lowest cartridge and inserting the cartridge into a top end of the pen will push the lowest cartridge out of the pen. Alternatively, engaging the lowest cartridge with another cartridge prior to pushing upwardly will remove the topmost cartridge from the pen. The top end of the topmost cartridge is either projected from the top end of the pen or flush therewith. Also, the hand of a user is prevented from being contaminated by the stick while removing the same.
