    Abstract: A double interface compact flash memory card includes a frame and a USB interface unit. The frame contains at least a flash memory chip and a bridge circuit board module, a compact flash memory interface at one side, and a socket at the other side. The socket can accommodate a USB interface unit at one side thereof. The USB interface unit has several positioning grooves at the hinge end, which can be caught with a locating projection on the socket so that the USB interface can be located at different angular positions as desired.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a common connector for memory cards and a switching arbitration method for the shared Pins of the connector, i.e., a common connector which allows many different types of memory cards to be inserted in and fixed at different times. A multiple of rows/sets of different types of Pins are devised on one side of a baseboard of the common connector. And particularly, a set of shared Pins enables identification of interface signals from SD/MMC cards or SM cards. Under the control of corresponding memory card detection switches and switching arbitration circuits, the shared Pins can be connected to interface signals from a SD/MMC card or a SM card. Therefore, such a structure not only reduces the size of the common connector but also supports a multiple of types of memory cards.

    Abstract: A double interface CF card includes a CF interface, a USB interface, a control chip and multiple erasable memories. In particular, the circuit and electric design in the flash memory card contain a CF bus interface circuit and a USB bus interface circuit, both of which are built in the control chip to communicate with the CF interface or the USB interface; a power transfer and protection circuit for converting the power voltage into an internal voltage suitable for the compact flash memory card and switching off the other interface; an interface detection and selection circuit for detecting a system end of the CF interface or the USB interface and switching the CF interface circuit or the USB interface circuit as the correct working mode; and a micro controller built in the control chip for accepting instruction codes transferred from the system end and treating the instruction codes with necessary response based on the system specification after switching.

    Abstract: A passive adapter for portable memory cards has a bridge unit, which is inserted in a corresponding PCMCIA card interface. The bridge unit employs a first controller to detect the PCMCIA card interface, which is made in form of a module comprising a slot and a second controller. The slot allows different memory cards to plug on one-at-a-time basis for the controller to detect the category of an inserted memory card. This invention is characterized in: removing the second controller of the module and adding the functions of the second controller to the first controller of the bridge unit and using an added detection-signal conversion controller of the module for detection of the memory cards.

    Abstract: A silicon disk card with a USB plug includes an electric circuit board with at least one flash memory and a bridging chip, and a module in the shape of a rectangular frame formed by injection molding of plastic. The module is provided on one side thereof with an interface pin board, and on the opposite side thereof with a slot to receive the USB plug therein, the slot having a leading function to lead the USB plug out of the module. The silicon disk card with the USB plug has the function of twin interface data transmitting, the bridging chip being used therein to decide which interface is seeking access to data in the flash memories.

    Abstract: An integral multiplex adapter card, it is provided in a housing meeting the size specification of a CF card with an electric circuit board assembly, the housing has thereon a receiving cassette. The electric circuit board assembly is provided on a single base plate thereof with a CF connecting end, a USB connecting end, a common chip set and a set of contact pins. In this way, a small silicon disk including an MS card, SD card or MMC card etc. can be inserted into the receiving cassette of the housing to output data on the silicon disks through the CF connecting end or the USB connecting end. Therefore, silicon disks of different specifications can be used for various digital products each with a CF card interface or a USB interface; these silicon disks thus can have commonness in use. Thereby, this can increase convenience of use of the digital products with a CF card interface or a USB interface each.
