    Abstract: A method for loading configuration data onto a non-volatile memory and the device using the same is provided. A non-volatile memory block is preloaded with a certain compatible memory configuration data in advance when the memory device is being manufactured. The memory configuration data comprises plural parameters corresponding to the non-volatile memory. When readying the memory device, the preloaded configuration data is loaded onto a random-access memory thereof so as to save the space in a read-only memory used for storing the memory's identification and its specification. Additionally, means for loading the configuration data from the preload zone onto the random-access memory is introduced to update the firmware.

    Abstract: A device and method is provided to selectively modify the transmission performance of a frame data. Through a parallel transmission interface, the frame data is transmitted under a corresponding interface protocol and transmitted toward an image display. The method first detects a data size of the frame data and then provides a transmission control signal based on the detection of the data size. Next, selectively divide the frame data by a factor M based on the transmission control signal. Furthermore, transmit the divided frame data at a raised clock rate based on the factor M. Afterwards, temporarily store the divided frame data about to be transmitted toward the image display until the whole frame data is transmitted.

    Abstract: The invention provides a light emitting diode device and a fabrication method thereof. The device comprises a pair of electrodes and one of which is electrically contacted with a holder, an LED chip fixed in the holder, a wrapping material formed in the holder and covering the LED chip, and a plurality of nanocrystals having a quantum dot state dispersed in the wrapping material. The nanocrystals satisfy the formula, Zn1-xCdxS and 0<x<1, and can produce a luminous wavelength of about 400 nm to 800 nm. The device further comprises a plurality of organic molecules bonded to the surface of the nanocrystals. Because a molecular interaction occurs between the organic molecules and the wrapping material, the nanocrystals are uniformly dispersed in the wrapping material to improve luminous uniformity. Furthermore, the wrapping material can protect the nanocrystals from oxidation to avoid efficiency decaying.

    Abstract: A membrane electrode assembly of a fuel cell comprises a proton exchange membrane, two metal-carbon (carbon supported metal) catalyst layers, two gas diffusion layers and at least two metal catalyst layers. The two gas diffusion layers are on both outer surfaces of the membrane electrode assembly. The metal catalyst layers are located at the interface between the proton exchanged membrane and the metal-carbon catalyst layer and/or at the interface between the metal-carbon catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer. The combinations of metal-carbon catalyst and metal-catalyst layers reduce the thickness of catalyst layer and maintain a high catalysis activity, and thus improve the fuel cells performance.
