Abstract: A testing system for measuring an electronic device includes a main controller for generating a control signal, a signal generator for outputting a predetermined test input signal according to the control signal, an instrument unit having a plurality of instruments, and a testing port having a plurality of probes. The plurality of probes connects corresponding testing points of the electronic device to the signal generator and the instruments. The predetermined test input signal is transmitted to the electronic device via the testing port. The instrument unit processes a test result signal outputted by the electronic device and outputs a result data. The main controller receives the result data and computes whether the result data is within a predetermined range. A related testing method is also provided.

Abstract: A method for managing access authorization of peripherals of an electronic apparatus is provided. The method includes the step of: providing a data storage for storing a peripheral registry table which stores hardware IDs of the peripherals; reading the hardware ID of the peripheral when the peripheral is connected to the electronic apparatus; determining whether the hardware ID is recorded in the peripheral registry table; activating an access of the peripheral when the hardware ID is recorded in the peripheral registry table; and registering the hardware ID of the peripheral into the peripheral registry table when the hardware ID is not recorded in the peripheral registry table.

Abstract: A display includes a power switch, a serial bus interface, a microprocessor and other necessary components. The serial bus interface is configured to connect to a serial bus interface of a computer through a data cable. The power switch is provided to be pressed down by user, which is used to turn on or off the display. The microprocessor determines whether the duration of pressing on the power switch exceeds a predetermined period of time. If yes, the microprocessor further determines a current state of the display. If the display is “off”, the microprocessor transmits a sleep control instruction to the computer and controls the computer to fall asleep. If the display is “on”, the microprocessor transmits a wake-up instruction to the computer and wakes up the computer. A method of controlling a computer to fall asleep is also provided.

Abstract: A mobile communication device includes a power source, a measurer, a function group, a calculator, a setting module, and a controller. The power source is used for supplying power to the mobile communication device. The measurer is used for measuring remaining coulomb of the power source. The function group includes a plurality of function modules with corresponding priority levels. The calculator is used for calculating coulomb consumption rate of the function modules. The setting module is used for receiving a desired usage time predetermined by users. The controller is used for powering down the function modules according to the remaining coulomb, the coulomb consumption rate, and the desired usage time. A method for controlling the function modules is also provided.

Abstract: A reflection type liquid crystal display panel includes a polarizing plate, a first liquid crystal molecule, and a first corrective membrane. A longitudinal axis of the first liquid crystal molecule is perpendicular to the polarizing plate. The first corrective membrane is interposed between the polarizing plate the first liquid crystal molecule. The first corrective membrane is for correcting phase delay of polarizing light transmitted through the first liquid crystal molecule.

Abstract: A mobile communication system includes at least one base transceiver station and a mobile switching center. The at least one base transceiver station is used for exchanging data with mobile phones. The mobile switching center is used for choosing one base transceiver station as a primary base transceiver station, and calculating positions of a first mobile phone and a second mobile phone. The position of the mobile phones include distances that the mobile phones are away from the primary base transceiver station, and an angle between the mobile phones relative to the primary base transceiver station. The mobile switching center is further used for calculating a distance between the first and second mobile phone according to the positions of the mobile phones. A related mobile communication method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a display panel, a sensor, and a display control unit. The display panel is rotatable. The display panel includes a display unit for displaying data images. The sensor is for sensing a rotation of the display panel, and generating an analog signal including rotation direction information and rotation angle information. The display control unit is for controlling displaying orientation, brightness, and display ratio of the data images based on the rotation direction information and the rotation angle information.

Abstract: A monitor with a spectrum panel is provided. The monitor includes: a micro controller unit (MCU) connecting with an audio module, a spectrum module. The spectrum module is connected with a spectrum switch and a spectrum panel. The audio module converts audio data from a computer into sound. The spectrum module converts the audio data into spectral images. The spectrum panel is used for displaying the spectral images. The spectrum switch is used for activating and deactivating the spectrum module and the spectrum panel. The spectrum panel will continue to provide visual information of a song to a user even when the display is off.

Abstract: A portable device capable of distinguishing peripherals is provided in the present invention. The portable device performing at least one extended function includes: one of peripherals connecting to the portable device; an interface connectable to the peripheral; and a memory storing an index table that lists at least one identification code of the peripheral. Each of the peripheral includes: an interface connectable to the interface of the portable device, a peripheral function module performing a peripheral function after the peripheral connected to the portable device, and an identification module with a device specific identification code.

Abstract: An earphone with adjustable impedance is provided. The earphone mainly includes an earphone body, a communication line, an earphone plug, an alter switch and an adjustable impedance unit used for adjusting an impedance of the earphone. The adjustable impedance unit is connected between the earphone plug and the earphone body through the alter switch. The impedance of the earphone can be matched on the output impedance of the media player by adjusting the impedance of the adjustable impedance unit when an earphone is connected with a media player.

Abstract: The present invention provides method for break reminder and a display device. The display device includes a display unit; a clock counter; a distance estimator configured for detecting if the display device being used by a user, calculating distance between the user and a front of the display device, and generating a tracking signal if the distance is less than a predetermined distance; and a central processing unit configured for waiting for the tracking signal, resetting a worked time and a rested time when the tracking signal is received, signaling the clock counter to track the worked time, detecting if the worked time is less than a first predetermined time, and signaling the display unit to output the message prompt when the worked time is equal to or greater than the first predetermined time, thereby the present invention can prevent the user of the display device from fatigue.

The electronic device includes an interface, an input unit, a processing unit, a payment management unit, and a transfer management unit. The interface is configured for communicating with an external portable apparatus. The input unit is configured for allowing a user to select data to be downloaded or uploaded. The processing unit is configured for calculating a toll for downloading or uploading the data. The payment management unit is configured for accepting payment according to the toll calculated from the processing unit, and generating a payment received signal to signal the processing unit to generate a data transfer command. The transfer management unit is configured for transmitting the data to the external portable apparatus through the interface according to the data transfer command.
