  • Patent number: 7004642
Abstract: The opto-electrical module packaging installs opto-electrical devices on a conductive leadframe to form an opto-electrical module. The opto-electrical module is then packaged using a molding packaging means, forming a transparent plastic base. The transparent plastic base is installed with a convergent lens to focus light. The leadframe has a plurality of pins and is mounted on the circuit board by soldering. This forms a packaging structure without bare pins exposed to the environment. In addition, the leadframe has a precision alignment structure extending outward as the alignment mechanism when assembled with a fiber connector. The precision packaging procedure provides a precision alignment of the converging lens and the opto-electrical devices at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20050114202
Abstract: To assess the sufficiency of a plurality of machines for processing a number of items, machine availability information indicative of availability of the machines for processing the items, machine capacity information indicative of a capacity of each of the machines for processing the items, and machine preference information indicative of a preference of each of the machines for processing the items are obtained. A capacity constraint, such as an upper limit of items to be processed during a time interval, is determined based on the machine availability information, machine capacity information and machine preference information. At least some of the machines are allocated to process at least some of the items based on the machine availability information, machine capacity information and machine preference information, subject to the capacity constraint. The resulting rough-cut capacity plan may be used to balance available capacity against required capacity.

  • Patent number: 6839683
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided using a stored benefit to facilitate a transaction in which a buyer offers to purchase a product. According to one embodiment, offer information, including an offer amount, is received from a buyer. The offer information may be received, for example, via a Web page. An indication that the buyer is willing to redeem one or more stored benefits is also received. A stored benefit may be, for example, a token associated with the buyer when he or she applies for a service. A value associated with the stored benefit is determined, and the offer information is evaluated based on the offer amount, the value associated with the stored benefit, and an amount associated with a product. According to one embodiment, the offer information includes a product category, and the product provided to the buyer is determined based on the product category.

  • Publication number: 20020147663
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to process a transaction in which a customer purchases an item. A third party subsidy offer, such as an offer to apply a third party subsidy amount to the transaction in exchange for the customer performing a task, is provided to the customer. The third party subsidy offer may be provided to the customer in response to the customer indicating an interest in purchasing the item. An evaluation may be performed to determine if a merchant benefit, such as a merchant subsidy amount, will also be applied to the transaction. A further evaluation may be performed to determine whether an additional task, not corresponding to a benefit, will also be associated with the third party subsidy offer and also output to the customer in conjunction with, or as part of, the third party subsidy offer.

  • Patent number: 5935355
Abstract: A method of manufacturing acrylic boards containing real flower materials includes adhering real flower materials to an artificial fiber paper or cloth using a glue solution soluble in an acrylic solution, the fiber cloth or paper and the real flower material capable of retaining their malleability in the congealed acrylic solution; and pouring the acrylic solution into a mold holding the fiber paper or cloth with the flower materials adhered thereto; and bending the acrylic board thus obtained to a desirable shape.
