  • Publication number: 20070137750
Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-skid structure between a body and a rim of a hollow foam wheel, and more particularly, to a hollow-shaped foam wheel body put around a rim. The wheel body includes two flanges that are thick and close to each other. Pluralities of retaining flakes are disposed apart on the surface of the rim covered by the wheel body, and pluralities of protrusions are disposed apart on the surface of the flanges corresponding to the wheel body. As the wheel body is tightly put around the rim, the protrusions and the retaining flakes block one another, avoiding the skid between the wheel body and the rim. Furthermore, the pressure on the surface of the wheel is conducted to the flanges leaning on each other through the sidewalls thereof, and is then balanced. Hence, the deformation of the wheel body is decreased. The wheel can carry more load and serve as an optimal buffer when employed.

  • Patent number: 7219707
Abstract: A hollow EVA foam tire structure includes a tire, a core and a rim. The core includes a plurality of sections substantially arranged into an annular shape and being hollow on both sides. A plurality of protruding block sections is disposed on the internal side of the flange section of the core extended from the accommodating space of the tire, and both sides of the tire are covered by the rim having two corresponding external flange surfaces at the external sides. Pointed splinters are disposed on the external flange surface and protruding block sections are protruded from the rim. Thus, the protruding block sections of the wheel core are alternatively and mutually engaged. Therefore, when the two corresponding rims are securely coupled, the pointed splinters of the rim can be pierced and fixed into the tire, and the internal side of the tire is embedded into the hollow section of the wheel core by a compressing force.

  • Publication number: 20060027298
Abstract: This invention discloses a hollow EVA foam tire structure capable of carrying heavy loads, particularly a hollow EVA form tire having an accommodating space between the inboard sides of the tire. The tire is comprised of a plurality of sections substantially arranged into an annular shape, and a wheel core being hollow on both sides, such that a plurality of protruded block sections is disposed on the internal side of the flange section extended from the accommodating space and both sides of the tire are covered by a rim having two corresponding external flange surfaces at the external sides, and a pointed splinter is disposed on the internal side of the external flange surface and a protruded block section is protruded from the surrounding surface of the flange end at the internal side of the rim, so that the protruded block sections of the wheel core are alternatively and mutually engaged.

  • Publication number: 20040070261
Abstract: A wheel frame for a hollow foam wheel includes a hollow foam tire which has two opposing bulged inner rims to form a housing space therebetween, two opposing wheel frames located on two outer sides of the foam tire each having a jutting outer rim. The jutting outer rim has an inner side with spikes located thereon and an inner peripheral surface which has first ridges formed thereon. The housing space holds a plurality of retaining members assembled in an annular manner. Each retaining member has a flange on the inner rim thereof with second ridges formed on the inner peripheral surface to mate alternately the first ridges of the wheel frame. The two wheel frames are screwed towards each other to clamp the foam tire securely between the jutting outer rim and the retaining members. The spikes on the inner side of the wheel frame pierce into the foam tire for anchoring. Thus the hollow foam tire may be coupled and anchored securely and provide an improved elastic and cushion effect.
