  • Patent number: 7686476
Abstract: A warehouse dock light includes a lamp assembly which is provided with a plurality of LEDs arranged in such a fashion as to collectively provide sufficient light for illumination of an area. The LEDs are arranged in two columns with each column having both LEDs with narrow angle and wide angle lens, and with each column being angled so as to project outwardly from a central axis. Heat from the LEDs is dissipated through bi-metal boards to an extruded aluminum heat sink, and air is blown through the ribs of the heat sink by a fan. A heat sensor is provided with electronic circuitry to responsively turn on the fan and/or turn off the LEDs at predetermined temperature thresholds.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 2007
Date of Patent: March 30, 2010
    Assignee: DL Manufacturing
Inventors: Donald L. Metz, Wendell K. Moulton

  • Publication number: 20070295851
Abstract: In a spring loaded shaft for automatically rewinding a cord or the like after it has been unwound for temporary use, provision is made for reducing the whipping effect by slowing the speed in which the rewinding occurs. An elongate member is attached to an end of the shaft and is disposed within a liquid substance contained in a housing such that rotation of the shaft is slowed by the interaction of the elongate member with the liquid substance.
