  • Publication number: 20150075699
Abstract: A prosthesis is formed by providing a first positive mold portion representation of a prosthetic mating body portion of the user and a second positive mold portion representing a symmetrical body portion of the user. In one instance a front shell portion is molded overtop of the second positive mold portion and a rear shell portion is positioned over the first positive mold portion prior to joining with the application of a finish coating of silicone. In some instances a fabric material is stretched onto one of the mold portions prior to coating the fabric with silicone such that the fabric is impregnated with silicone to define an exterior shell of the prosthesis once cured. In a further instance, a resilient prosthetic shell is formed using negative molds of the prosthetic mating and symmetrical body portions of the user prior to filling the shell with a core material.

  • Publication number: 20140372954
Abstract: A prosthesis, for example a breast or a finger prosthesis, is formed for mating with a first body portion of a user such that the prosthesis is symmetrical with a second body portion of the user. The prosthesis is formed at a manufacturing location using castings of the first and second body portions which the user creates themselves at a user location separate from the manufacturing location using a user casting kit. The user casting kit includes casting material, skin colour samples and any additional tools required for the subsequent manufacture of a custom prosthesis without the user being required to leave the user location. Alternatively, the user can submit their own image data and use a computer based tool to make various selections subsequently used by the manufacturer to produce the prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 8608881
Abstract: A breast prosthesis is formed by providing a core of low density foam, shaping the core in the general form of a breast, and applying an outer layer of resilient skin to an outer side of the core to substantially resemble a breast. The inner side of the core opposite the outer side is shaped for mating engagement with a user. A plurality of interchangeable covers of flexible material are each arranged to releasably span the inner side of the core. Typically, coloring is provided on the outer side to resemble an areola of the breast and a protrusion arranged to resemble a nipple of the breast is releasably adhered to the outer side at various positions relative to the areola.

  • Patent number: 7063325
Abstract: A catching game is played by pendently supporting a plurality of playing cards from a device. The device is operated by one of the players to release at least one card. The released card falls under the influence of gravity and the air and falls in an unpredictable trajectory. A player must catch the card before it falls to an underlying surface.

  • Patent number: 7034208
Abstract: This invention is directed to a screening method for the selection of mutations which confer acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS) inhibiting herbicide resistance to wheat. After mutagenesis of wheat seeds, the seeds are soaked in an AHAS inhibiting herbicide-containing solution containing a particular class of AHAS inhibiting herbicide. After planting, the soil containing the seeds is sprayed with an AHAS inhibiting herbicide of the same class as that used in the seed soak step prior to the emergence of the seedlings from the soil. Those wheat seedlings which emerge and are normal in appearance demonstrate resistance to the class of AHAS inhibiting herbicides used in the seed soak and spraying steps. This invention is also directed to the wheat selections and seeds identified by the screening method.

  • Publication number: 20040011101
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new agricultural composition and a method for protecting, enhancing the resistance of plants to infections by plant pathogens and increasing abiotic stress tolerance against cold, salinity and drought. The composition comprises a formulated mixture of resistance elicitors stimulating a number of signal transduction pathways within the plant. The formulated mixture is acting to stimulate a number of such signal transduction pathways thereby maximising the plants' potential resistance-related response to infection. The composition gives a stronger, more sustainable, and broader range of pathogen control than an elicitor preparation based upon a single active ingredient. The active ingredients consist of chitosan (C), &ohgr;-fatty acids (O), phosphate (P) and seaweed-derived extracts (S) (COPS). The composition can be applied to the plants by spraying, via fertigation systems or by coating seeds and can be applied to the leaves of the plants or to the roots.

  • Patent number: PP21889
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Salvia named ‘WENDY'S WISH’ that is characterized by medium to high density, strong rigid stems, bright pink flowers, and red-bronze calyces. In combination these traits set ‘WENDY'S WISH’ apart from all other existing varieties of Salvia known to the inventor.
