  • Publication number: 20150255914
Abstract: A touch screen device includes an electric power receptacle configured for being spill resistant. The electric power receptacle provides a fluidly isolated environment for each contact thereby allowing the electric power receptacle to pass a dielectric withstand test.

  • Patent number: 9000308
Abstract: A gasket comprises a main portion having first and second ends, a parallel leg extending perpendicularly from each of the first and second ends, and a step portion extending perpendicularly from each of the other end of the legs. The main portion and leg form an opening that is sized and dimensioned to receive a shell of a connector. A layer of nickel plated metalized nylon fabric wrapped over polyurethane foam. One side of the layer bonds to the interior surfaces of the main portion and leg that form the opening and the other side of the layer is adapted to urge against the shell of the HDMI connector. A section of the layer extends beyond the widths of the main and legs. The section is adapted to urge against a faceplate to maintain an electrical-conductive path between the shell of the HDMI connector and the surface of the faceplate.

  • Patent number: 8854835
Abstract: An electromagnetic shield comprises a single sheet of metal having outer and inner peripheries. The outer periphery forms a plurality of outer deflectable fingers extending outward from a bent edge of the outer periphery for contacting a surface of a faceplate. The plurality of outer deflectable fingers is deflectable to allow for installation and removal of the faceplate. The inner periphery has an opening for receiving an HDMI connector and forming a plurality of inner deflectable fingers extending inwardly from a bent edge of the inner periphery. The plurality of inner deflectable fingers is deflectable to allow for insertion and removal of the HDMI connector.

  • Patent number: 8742266
Abstract: An electromagnetic gasket comprises a substantially rectangular sheet having a plurality of resilient fingers on an outer peripheral. The fingers are bent outward and at least four resilient prongs are bent inward to form a passageway that is sized and dimensioned to receive an HDMI connector. When the HDMI connector is inserted through the passageway, the resilient prongs are adapted to urge against top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the HDMI connector in such a manner to prevent the gasket from disengaging from the HDMI connector. The plurality of resilient fingers extend outward and beyond the top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the HDMI connector and are adapted to urge against a surface of a faceplate. The plurality of fingers and prongs of the gasket provide a direct grounding path between surfaces of the shell of the HDMI connector and surface of the faceplate.

  • Patent number: 8724343
Abstract: An electromagnetic shield comprises a sheet of metal having slots along an edge of the sheet to form a plurality of resilient fingers. The single sheet is bent around first and second bends axes inwardly and approximately ninety degrees to form a top planar surface and first and second side walls. The single sheet of metal is sized and dimensioned to receive a connector in between the first and second side walls and top planar surface. The fingers are bent outward with a bend radius of approximately 0.020 inches with respect to a flat surface of the sidewalls and top planar surface. The fingers apply a biasing force against a surface of a faceplate. Each of the side walls includes an elongated leg, which is interconnected with a circuit board and each of the elongated legs extends beyond a bottom edge of each of the side walls.

  • Patent number: 8672710
Abstract: An electromagnetic gasket comprises a sheet having a plurality of resilient fingers on an outer peripheral. The fingers are bent outward and at least four resilient prongs are bent inward to form a passageway that is sized and dimensioned to receive an RJ45 connector. When the RJ45 connector is inserted through the passageway, the resilient prongs are adapted to urge against top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the RJ45 connector in such a manner to prevent the gasket from disengaging from the RJ45 connector. The plurality of resilient fingers extend outward and beyond the top, bottom, and two side surfaces of the shell of the RJ45 connector and are adapted to urge against a surface of a faceplate.

  • Publication number: 20130319752
Abstract: A mounting assembly is configured for mounting electronics in a ceiling or wall without requiring access to interior portions of the ceiling or wall. The mounting assembly comprises a collar, at least two arms and at least two threaded screws. The collar fits around and attaches to the electronics housing. The at least two arms are each independently compressed to engage the ceiling and are coupled to the collar to support the collar in the ceiling.
