    Abstract: Free cut edges on undergarments help to minimize the appearance of visible panty lines. However, typical free cut undergarments are flat and do not conform to the shape of the body. The undergarment disclosed herein has free cut edges and a gusset panel that addresses the limitations of existing free cut undergarments. The gusset panel is gathered along its left and right edges using elastic thread or elastic bands. The gathering provides elasticity and shape to the gusset panel, and limits the extent to which the gusset panel slides and becomes displaced on the wearer.

Slip garment embodiments are disclosed herein that include a lower region having an interior surface with exposed elastic threads configured to directly contact the wearer. The slip garment embodiments include a free-cut lower edge. The slip garment embodiments can be constructed using cut and sew methods.

The gusset panel is fixedly or seamlessly attached to the front body panel and fixedly or seamlessly attached to the back body panel. An access space is formed by leaving at least a portion of a lateral gusset panel edge unattached to any other portion of the garment. The access space can be widened with one hand due to the highly stretchable characteristics of the gusset panel.

    Abstract: An arm compression garment according to various implementations includes a right arm section and a left arm section. Each arm section includes a first compressive area that is configured to extend around at least a portion of a humerus bone of a wearer's arm and a second compressive area adjacent the first area and extending distally therefrom. The first compressive area has a first compressive strength, and the second compressive area has a second compressive strength that is less than the first compressive strength. In certain implementations, each arm section is integrally formed on a hosiery machine with a bodice section. The bodice sections are then sewn together at the front and back edges thereof, such that there is a front seam configured to fit adjacent the wearer's sternum and a back seam configured to fit adjacent the wearer's spine.

The abdominal region of the shapewear garment includes at least one dart provided in the fabric. The fabric of the shapewear garment is a high-elasticity fabric containing from about 20% to about 60% elastane. The darts in the abdominal region increase the control in the targeted abdominal area without significantly decreasing the flexibility and comfort of the high-elasticity fabric.
