Abstract: A hoop device for aerobic exercise and massage that includes a rigid weighted core that is preferably constructed of a steel rod or tube that is configured into an annular shape and a sleeve constructed of a soft foam material that surrounds the core forming a hoop. The hoop is placed around a waist or other body part of a user to travel around the body part upon rotation providing exercise with the foam sleeve to cushion the effect of the core against the body. The sleeve can also have circumferential ribs separated by circumferential troughs to provide knob-like undulations to massage the user while rotating the device around his or her body.
